View Full Version : Wallets...what do you carry?

Titan and I started talking about this in the Brands (http://forum.kakutougi.info/showthread.php?t=4635) thread.

What do you guys carry? It seems I have some new bloody card that needs to be carried every couple of months, and there is a limit on how fat a wallet can get before it doesn't fit in your pocket anymore (though I believe my bro-in-law has set the record).

Anyway, how do you carry your cash and cards?

NOT what do you carry....but how...what sort of wallet/bill clip/carry case etc do you use?

I keep my card and two hundred in cash with me at all times, for emergencies.

I pay for everything with my card, except at this gas station that takes three cents off the gallon if I use cash.

so no wallet? Just cash and card?? Makes life easy I guess.

In Japan....the most "technologically advanced country"....they have no EFPOST (sp?) here where you can use the one card in most banks and chose whether to pay for things via that card by either credit or direct debut from your account......so lots of cards need carrying at once.

Cash in one pocket, cards in the other.

Cash in notes (200 Bucks usually), credit cards, bank cards, business cards, condoms, drivers ID, paper clip, toothpick. And some loose coins always.

I always carry my $10 leather wallet, has served me well for 2 years. I have EFTPOS so all I need is 1 card, along with bus tickets and some other assorted cards, its all i need.

I have a black leather wallet that carries everything together with my mp3 player in my left pocket.

Not much cash, my PIN/chipknip card, drivers license (bloody ID card rules), college card, spare key, some receipts, 2 year old shopping notes, library card, public transport card, donor registration, incurance card and some supermarket reduction cards....

Very interesting topic... I find it indeed problematic to carry all the things I need : cards, driving license, car keys, keys, cellular phone... I hate to put all these in my pockets : no room in jeans pockets, and if I take off my jacket in some place or when it's hot I cant rely on the jacket pockets. Plus I dont like to have my jeans pockets full it makes me feel like I cannot kick comfortably, and even though I might not need to kick in my daily life, it makes me feel limited... So I sometimes use a quite little side pocket attached to my belt... it contains it all and I hardly feel it. You dont see it too much either cause the shirt hides it more or less. Well it's not ideal but that's the best I came up with.

Oh, yeah I carry it in a wallet. Actually, I'd prefer a money clip but I don't have one.

I have something like that....looks like a rock climbers pouch or something. I generally only use it at events where I photograph and carry all the memory cards, spare batteries, lense caps, business cards etc etc in it....I think I might start using it for every day life too though.

It attaches to your belt and just hangs off it right?

I must add.....I hate to carry coins. Cards and notes only....that is why I want a long, thin wallet.

coins I hand directly to my wife....or throw in the glove box of my car. There is probably $100 of coins in my glove box, so it works well when I feel like buying something at the 7/11 :-D

I think what you're talking about (hang off the belt) is another similar thing, but what I have right now is more like a little pouch and the belt passes through the strap of the pouch. I'm trying to find the thinner pouch of this kind (with a strap) existing on earth.

My wallet is way too big to carry it in a pocket, I put it in a purse. Some guys I know have a little sporty bag for their things, it looks nice.

BTW, ( o Y o ), that's my subtle way of saying: get rid of that ugly ass bag and NEVER EVER again clip anything to your belt. If you thought wallets were bad, the belt clip is a sin of much bigger magnitude. Wallets and belt clips ... what next, you start hotlinking car-pics from John Deere? :-)

I have a brownish Vod Dutch wallet with 100 bus receipts, a few cards and many coins.

If I want to carry some other things such as mobile and camera, then I use a small adidas bag with a strap.

We all know you wear bodybuilder baggy pants with that stomach bag. Not cargos. Grant Ellis style, far right:

I have a fat point zero wallet. If I'm going to clubs I can stick my Kershaw Scallion in there and they don't twig to check my wallet with the metal detector.

Boobs, I carry a 100 yen shop wallet. Those fuckers are waterproof and tough as hell to damage. They've lasted a hell of a lot longer than any of the branded leather wallets I've held. Usually keep about 5000 yen and pay for everything by UFJ card which gets me points. I just need to collect points for another 20 years before I can get my very own 13 inch LCD TV :P

I showed it to my boss and he does the same now. Of course though in his case he has a 100 yen (about 90 cents) wallet with the American Express Centurion Card in there
