This is good for two reasons. 1) It means the Oceania GP will be shown on commercial TV in Japan which is huge. 2) It means Fuji will show it live on their cable channel which means (as I am sadly not going) that I can play by play the event.

^^ Sure does. As I just posted elsewhere...this is the first Official K-1 GP Event of 2006 and there are no fighters there that don't deserve to be there. Not an "entertainment only" fighter within sight. Brilliant.

On a different note I am glad that this event looks so promising. I to love the line up and I can't wait to see the fights. This is the kind of event that K-1 was built on.

Actually it was the Akebonner and Boob Sapp more than the Hangman (Real name is Hong-man) that I didn't want picked up by each person before trying to out-do the other with. lol

It is a great card so that should be the discussion is all.

It was painful to email Supa the other day saying it just wasn't going to happen. My leg is just not up to it unfortunately. Oh well.....at least for the rest of the guys here they'll get a play by play for it.

First event in New Zealand ever, and it already looks way better on papar than any of the US GPs they have run over the last few years (though the two last year took a huge step up)

Just got back from a press conference at rays Gym

3 tv Channels there, Newspapers etc. There is alot of interest in the event from the Media, filmed Ray training and doing rounds with the pads etc.

Talked about the Fighters coming over and the match ups between Ray and Remy- Ray said he is not worried by his lost to Remy last time they met, as he is fired up fighting in his home ground again.

Also talk about Aerts and Shilt match up and the tournament.

Was good.
