I would not hold your breath. Sato won one of these vote things for MVP, or runner up MVP before.
Tanikawa was never completely negative about Sato though. He did also say he was surprised hpw strong he is, and he was happy he was finally in MAX etc......"but" that his style was not MAX-like enough.

I think Hayato will do good also. I think Yuya will have his hands full but will grow and be dangerous later this year. Sato should win this tournament and solidify his dominance. Then a showdown with him and Kohi or Masato.
