Jerome has been kind enough to participate in this giveaway. This will be run exactly the same as the others have, so read the other threads or more importantly, this forums rules if you are not sure of how that is.
The interview itself is located here. (http://kakutougi.info/content/view/249/)
We have 3 signed gloves to give away. One is he official brand used by K-1, the other two are MMA gloves. If you would like one of them, all you need to do is make a simple post in this thread. Post only ONCE or you`ll not be counted. If time works out favourably, we will try to get Jerome to select the winners. If not, one of his team members.
You have until January 30th.

Wow, sounds like a great opportunity, thanks to Jerome, aka, ( o Y o ) and the rest of the team for making this possible. I don't think I have ever seen a boring fight from Jerome, that and his well-roundedness and balls to the wall attitude make me a big fan of his. I would love to be considered for this giveaway and I wish him the best for new years eve against Karaev :)

OMG! OMG! OMG! After watching LeBanner obliterate Sam Greco in 1998 I've been on the bandwagon ever since. What more can be said about the Jerome? His sensational style and fights have brought joy to K-1 fans since the beginning. I was heartbroken when he suffered the injury versus Hoost in the 2002 GP and I pray every year he'll get to wear that gold wreath! Thank you Jerome, for all the excitement you bring to K-1 fans every year and good luck in the near future with your career!

When you say Jerome, everybody says: The best K-1 fighter who has never won the K-1 final. He's been around for over a decade(!), always came so close, and never had that bit of luck to win the k-1 final. Even I as a Dutchman was worrying when Aerts was constantly kicking his arm in the last final. I thought; shit, hopefully he won't break it again because that might end his carrier, but luckily he didn't do any serious damage to it.
He fought all the best, and won against all the best. His most memorable fights must be the wars between him and Mark Hunt, definitely in the top3 best k-1 fights ever.
Furthermore I have to say that I enjoy all his fights since 1995, because he always goes for the win by K.O. what all the fans appreciate.
Jerome, keep up the good work and hopefully one day you will win that K-1 belt!

Hello Jerome!
Im 17 years old and I have just won my first Muay Thai fight. As an aspiring young fighter I would love to reach the level that you ar at! I always remember watching that video of your training and wanting to do all the techniques like you. I admire the battles you have and it gives me so much motivation to become a great fighter like you one day in the future.
If I win that K-1 glove, I promise to you im gonna use it in my next fight and im gonna let that other guy get a really good close up of it.

Great stuff as always from the kakutougi staff and the other members aswell (AKA)!! I hope JLB is in the shape we are used to see him in when his totally focused and in great shape. The money I put on him is safer than they would have been at my local bank.
The time for JLB to win the most prestigeous tournament, the WGP, will eventually come and Im convinced that we have a new champion next NYE starting off with an impressive victory against Karaev this NYE.
Good luck this coming year and continue to entertain us!

Jerome Le Banner is one of the most fearless warriors I have ever seen in K-1. His fights are always spectacular and awesome. He punches like a bear and kicks like a horse. I have tremendous respect for him. He had his share of bad luck and I was devastated when he broke his arm in the finals against Hoost. Seriously, I had tears in my eyes when he left the stadium with his arm just hanging on the side.
When he couldn't continue against Botha, I felt so sorry for him, I thought his carreer was over. But he proved it wasn't. After such an injury one has to wonder if one should continue with this full contact sport. Life is so precious, and there are other things in life that are more important then sport.
Jerome is one of the most determind man on earth. Most people just give up after such a injury, but the iron man of France didn't. Respect!
Despite I' am dutch, I really would have like to see Jerome win the grandprix this year. He did not, unfortunately, but however for me and I think a lot of K-1 fans, Jerome is the uncrowned king of kings. A lot of people say that he has never won the grandprix final. So what? I mean, Jerome has proved himself more than once the past decade.
Win or lose, he is a man of honor, a brave one!
Merci beaucoup!

I started watching K-1 when i started training Muay Thai in 1997, back then it was near impossible to see the matches but we managed to get hold of some video tapes and watch the matches and JLB has been one of my favourite fighters for a long time. The 5-round war against Abidi was a classic.

Jerome Le Banner is one of my favorite figthers in K-1 to ever step on a ring. His fearless personality combined with an agressiveness strategy made him a very exciting fighter and one of the best K-1 fighters of ever. To bad that he don`t want to fight again in a WGP i think that he is a king without a crown (the best fighter that never had won the K-1 wgp). I wish to Jerome, his familly and friends a happy new year and a great 2006!
War Jerome!

LeBanner for me is the highly skilled version of Gary Goodridge, in that you know it is going to be exciting every time he is in the ring, and the likelyhood of it ending in a KO is high.
How can anyone not enjoy watching someone with a 80% KO rate??
Good luck for this fight and 2006 JLB!

I got drawn to K-1 because of a Highlight of Peter Aerts. There I saw LeBanner going down in 99. When trying to look for that full fight, it was actually Aerts eating the canvas.
Convinced of the invincability of Aerts (hey, I was fresh to the game lol!) I was stunned and immediately looked for more.
Oh yeah Jerome: don't get me wrong but you OWE me a give-away :D : it's because of you I had one of my most embarrasing moments in my life. When searching for your fights on Kazaa (or something), I saw a complete movie like 700 mb, titled 'Muay Thai Lessons Jerome Le Banner' or something. So I was excited, and I started downloading it.
At one friday, watching some fights and movies with some friends, I saw that the downloading finally was ready after a few days. All my friends were even bigger newbies to the game so I said: Damn fellows, you HAVE to see this guy. You don't want to run into him in a dark alley. He's frigging strong man.
So I doubleclicked the file... and guess what. IT WAS A FRENCH PORN MOVIE!!!! some clown had renamed a porn movie and put it online grmbl
So you can imagine how I began to blush and to mumble... try to explain THAT to your friends. lol
SO thank you for that priceless moment Jerome lol. Anyway, I wish you good luck in the future, you finally get that frigging belt and enjoy it because you deserve it. And a happy new year!
Late addition: I really really hope you'll still be on the Holland GP card this year. Already travelled by car from Holland to Paris Last year to see you fight Abidi, great war, while my friends were supporting Abidi (the bastards), I'm glad you won it'. Too bad you going to the hospital, I was hoping to get an autograph.

Jerome is one of the most exciting fighters in K-1 at heavyweight and is one of the first names i'll check for on a fightcard before buying tickets for a show or buying the dvd. His great entrance song (from the Omen) builds excitement and he rarely lets up in the ring as well. Total package when it comes to entertainment.
I will say that its good to see K-1 are showing another side to JLB as well by showing him as a loving father as well as a scary KOing, kick-ass kickboxer!

JLB is one of the, if not THE most exciting fighter in all of K-1. He brings it into the ring each and every time he steps through those ropes. Whether kicking a$s under K-1 rules or finding success in MMA combat, he is man to be feared and respected. Here's to JLB taking the World Grand Prix in 2006...and adding to his legend with more trophies and more memorable fights.

Saw the interview.
I sure hope K-1 will apologise and you will one more time compete in the WGP Final.
Personaly, I liked your fights in the beginning, especially around 1995.
I can only say Thank You! for all those excellent fights.
Good luck with your acting and MMA and good luck to Rani and the rest of your team!

Never a dull fight with Mr LeBanner. He fought Andy Hug - and there arent many K-1 fighters around who can say that. You are not a true K-1 Legend unless you have stepped in the ring against Andy.
Have a great 2006 Jerome.

I used to powerlift and wrestle and watch tons of mma. One day I decided to order the World Grandprix 2002 and K1 greatest KO's because I was curious due to CroCops exciting style in PRIDE FC. The first KO on the DVD was Jerome against Peter Aerts. I saw Jerome almost get KO'd by Peters vicious high kick only to come back and KO Peter 30 seconds later. My thought's verbatim were: Who the fuck is that guy?!?!
I was hooked. I bought every K1(and Muay Thai/kickboxing/boxing) DVD I could get my hands. I picked up MuayThai/Boxing, dropped 45lbs(lost a lot of muscle to increase speed/flexibility), and now I compete as an amateur at 220lbs. I even ordered shirts from Jeromes site and the training videos from the french Amazon.com with my absolutely pathetic french. I wouldn't be surprised if the webmaster from Jerome's site is still laughing at my e-mails... :)
Thank you for being an inspiration in many ways and entertaining my friends and me like few other poeple have.

Shit, that was a surprise seeing him speaking English.
LeBanner is a legend of K-1, and had the spirit to come back after an injury that would retire many fighters. You can't help but cheer for him most of the time.
