With so many kinds of suppliments out there it's confusing which to use and which not to use.
I would be interested to hear what you take & why, & the results.

I am using Gold's whey (choccy) for bulking up and am thinking should I be using more than 1 suppliment to reach my modest goals?

1. Daily Multi-Vitamin

2. Glucosamine & Chondroitin - for joint health

3. Acidophilus - helps prevent ringworm by balancing bacteria levels

4. LightForce - helps alkalize your system, helps with conditioning and digestion

5. Tums - for my calcium, and cause rolling gives me heartburn!

6. Emer-gen-C - good source of elektrolytes, gives you an energy boost

Ring Girl uses a supplement endorsed by Team Quest? :O

Surprising, really. ;)

As of now I only take a Multi-vitamin.
My diet is largely vegetarian (having an alkaline effect instead of an acidic effect.)

I have decent genetics (graça a Deus) and do not participate in competition anymore, so I don't fret.

I only focus on maintaining a good shape at this point in time as it best suits my athletic needs and desires.

I'm simply maintaining right now. I spar just once a week and then it's all work. I maintain myself with approximately 1 gram of protein per kilo of bodyweight and get my multimineral and vitamin tabs. I stay hydrated during the day and eat breakfast, lunch, and supper.

When I train harder, it depends on my goals. This is typically during a longer period of time off from work, like the summer. I eat 5 times a day and get approximately 1.5 (or more) grams of protein per kilo bodyweight. In one of the shakes I make sure to get 1 or 2 tablespoons of linseed oil (a.k.a. flaxseed oil). A typical day might look like:

- Breakfast: Fresh salmon and omelet with cheese.
- Snack: some veggie, like sliced cucumbers or bellpeppers with some pepper on
- Lunch: green salad with turkey, mushrooms, and maybe pine nuts
- Snack: Protein shake with linseed oil
- Dinner: roasted chicken with a green salad

Complex carbs I eat in moderation and only at dinner. I.e. I don't put a whole plate of wheat pasta on the table. The oils I use with the meals is basically sesame oil and olive oil. That's pretty much what's available to me. If you get a sweet tooth craving, you can eat a bit of peanut butter. Got protein. :-) The above is an example. About protein and oils, it's not available to me, but those in the know have recommended hemp protein and hemp oil. Keep in mind I'm a natural heavyweight, so I've never had to bulk really, and I'm but an amateur in this field and don't know about what supplements are available and fit for bulking.

Some whey and a handful of fish oil ( when I feel I can tolerate the fish burps for a day ), a mutli and antioxident is about it right now for me.

If you take the fish oil before you eat your food it will greatly reduce the fish burps. Another thing to think about is the Enteric Coated Fish Oil caps. With those you won't have any fish burps and they are easier to digest however they are a bit more expensive.

Glutamine is overrated IMO. It's good for digestion and for those that are extremely lean. Other than that you are better off with BCAA's (Branch Chain Amino Acids) and save the cash because Glutamine is damn expensive and most of the time a waste of money.

Glutamine made me constepated. Got one hell of a workout in the bathroom, though, but for bulking, it didn't do anything. What about that "No2"-stuff ... is it just hype also?

Bigtime Hype! That stuff is pure garbage from what I hear. I've never tried it but common words I hear is no pump, no strength increase, no extra stamina, and no muscle size increase, overpriced. What are you looking for out a product like this and maybe I could suggest something else?

Breakfast - Kellogs High Fibre Bran something

Lunch - Something light usually Rye bread with a cheese spread

Dinner - Anything. Though I avoid red meat, white bread. I cook my own food. Sometimes I just have another bowel of cereal.

Supplment wise - Im big on my USN products. I take the Phedra-Cut thermogenic before I train or go for a jog. Usually 2 pills and a shotglass of the liquid. Ive dropped 10Kgs since the start of the year. Aiming for middleweight. 80kg and dropping.

Will try the EC caps as it doesn't seem to matter when I take the caps......the burps come......and the fact I don't like fish makes them all the worse. But, do you know of any brand that sells either large size caps, or lots in a bottle? I know of only the ones sold on netrition, but the bottle always runs out in a few days...

Looks to me like a lot of carbs, and almost no protein or fats.

Kilosports sells them in 1000 caps and they have the super potent ones so you don't have to take as many. I get those but they aren't EC.

That is an excellent one and you won't get the fish burps as much but you do realize that it is fish oil you drink from a teaspoon and not a capsule right? Although the taste is blunted and its flavored I still can't stomach the fact of drinking straight fish oil.

I can handle the taste of fish better than the after taste of the burps, so I think I might give this a try. Much more economical too.

Thanks for your help!!
