If you would like the shirt or other item, all you need to do is make a simple post in this thread. Post only ONCE or you`ll not be counted. If time works out favourably, Mike Bernardo has said he will personally chose the 4 winners.

Read the interview, great read! Bernardo has been in there for ever, he is a legend in K-1 for sure. A thing I really like about him, is how bad-ass he can be in the ring, and still be very respectful outside. In the ring, it's all buinsess. He has given us some really nice KO's, and great wars. I don't think he is finished yet, I hope this neck injury gets better so we can se Bernardo and his KO's once again. I can tell I've never been cheering for Mike, but how can't you love his attitude and skills, often he gets into the ring and finishes everything with one punch. That's respect.. I would feel honoured to have something from this giveaway.
thx for doing this for us!

Well, there is no doubt in my mind that I am Mike's biggest fan on this board. I have already purchased a signed Mike Bernardo shirt and I'm getting it framed for christmas :D Mike vs Gary 2 was the first K1 fight I ever watched, and since then I have been trying to find out as much as I can about him. He has been a great inspiration to me, I watch one of his fights to motivate me before I train, even before I do my exams as some sort of strange lucky charm haha. Anything bearing his name would mean a great deal to me, but either way Mike you have a fan for life in me.

Being Toffa the biggest Mike fan I can only say that Mike still give me shivers when I watch the old Aerts vs Bernardo wars. I really think those rivalries are the classics which will be remembered in K-1 forever. No one will talk about Sapp vs Akebono in the future. The Mike vs Aerts, or Andy will though. So basically he has written K-1 history and showed he can win from basically anyone.
And still, as a major Aerts fan it's annoying watching Mikes KO's over Aerts lol. A real true nemisis if I can say so. :D
Anyway; a giveaway would be great but our man Toffa deserves the best being the biggest fan.

I think Mike Bernardo has help K-1 to become as big as it is nowadays. Mike is a warrior and a nice bloke as well. He has fought al lot of wars and eventhought it still hurts me when I see Peter on the floor. (But that part of the sport.) he has deserved his wins definitely!
I think K-1 needs to establish a 'K-1 hall of fame' and Mike definitely belongs there.
I also would like to see Bernardo vs Sapp, Bernardo vs Sefo and Bernardo vs Hoost, K-1 make it happen:)

Mike Bernardo, a huge part of k-1 history. knock-out or be knocked out.
Remember his old wars against Aerts, his shorts which were so ugly colored that it was actually beautiful, the staredown kiss against Jerome, what a character.
He is been on great heights, and deep lows, but always comes back. One of my favorite rematches of him is against Goodridge. After the loss in Vegas he showed the real Bernardo at Inoki bom-ba-ye.
Great staredown, and directly agressive from the start. Bang! knockout! Gary was out on the floor, Mike walked away, and thought, this is my revenge, walked back and placed his foot on Gary. I couldn't stop lauging.
He is also an emotional character which is very human. In tears after wins, and in tears after losses.
Hope to see Mike back in the ring, and God bless.

Wow, I didn't know Mike fought for a whole year before winning a fight by decision. I'll always remember his knockout over Peter in 1996 and how crazy the Tokyo Dome was.

"Well, I would like to fight Ernesto one more time and show him what’s up. Then Ignashov, and teach him a fight lesson. Or Mark Hunt to show him how limited he really is. Ray, just because the last fight I think was a draw, and that I had the better of him."
I like that he actually answered this question as boldly as he did. Good to know he's still very confident despite his recent setbacks and struggles. He's definitely a K-1 hall of fame member. As a fan, I'd love to see him fight again, but I'd guess it's probably best for him to retire and focus on his gym. I didn't like seeing him lose to Jan and Tatsufumi in that manner.

Bernardo is still one of my favorites. Hope he comes back and has a few good knock outs left in those hands.

What can I add to such positive comments about one of K-1's all time greatest...
He is the man who knocked out Andy Hug and Peter Aerts at the top of their game.
Ernesto Hoost said his toughest fight was against MIKE BERNARDO.
He entertained us in his impressive revenge fight against Goodridge.
K-1 fighting fans all around the world shared an emotional moment seeing him and his original camp reunite after his fight with Nortje and in his fight against Butterbean he showed as a true fighter that freakshows do not belong in K-1.
I hope Mike's health will return to a full 100% and won't stand in his way doing what he loves to do: continuing to be a reason for us to love k-1 and it's true fighters.

It's great that Mike can visit this site. This truly is a home for K-1 loyalists and seeing one of the Original K-1 Kings round these parts really solidifies this as the place to be. Good luck with all your future endeavors Mike and keep on beating that ass like only you can.

Ive never been really in K1 but now im feeling the old spirit. XLNS Bernardo HL thrilled me and i really started to like him when i saw the jesus is lord patch and the crosses on his gloves. Bernardo is such a character and even though he didn't perform very well in the past he will be always remembered as one of the best guys who didn't win the GP yet and of course one of the best to ever enter the k1 ring. I hope he will be back and bring more life into the K1 roster.
p.s. i only participate because i want to steal some gear and make fun of toffa ;)

Mike Bernardo is a token of what K-1's all about!! Really embodies the raw power of K-1 when it was best. Can he stay healthy - this guy'd love to see him bring the K-1 back in the game. Respect!

Bernardo is really a HEAVY puncher! He has a lots of heart but I really think he's almost out from K1? Like he said his best time was 93-99...
I wonder why he doesnt put JLB in his top 5!! And Iggy is far to be a top 5 since 2 years now ;)

Mike, I just wanted to thank you for all the entertainment you've provided the fans and I over the years. You are a true warrior and sportsman who didn't leave anything in the ring, win or lose. I'm certainly not the only one who appreciated that fact. I hope everything goes great for you and your future endeavors whatever they may be.

I hope your injury heals because you have unfinished business with Lebanner that I would LOVE to see settled. I like you guys both a fighters as I love the KO, and all ass-kissing aside, as far as I am concerned that NC should read W for you.

Throw my name in there. Anything from any fighter from K-1s golden years is well, gold
Seriously, if only the days of Bernardo and Greco fighting the Sefo's, Hoosts, and Aterts would come again....

Bernardo spectacular KO (later ruled a N/C) over Le Banner was my introduction to K-1 back in 2001 when I arrived in Japan. I've followed K-1 since and have happened to see Bernardo's highs and current 'lows' (his losses to Nortje & Tomihira) which i'm sure he will bounce back from. There's no doubt that today's K-1 is worse off without him. Hope to see you back in the ring asap Mike.

Mike has always been a warrior. Real tough guy and a big puncher. i hoped he coulda been one of the good ones to finally win a GP but it just never happened. Id like to see him try again, though.

You're a legend!
And thats why I think making a comeback maybe can harm you. On the other hand it would be fantastic to see you in the ring again!
In my oppinion you should have at least a retirement match, just as Ernesto.
You added a great style into K-1, which made you an remarkable icon.
Such icons is what they are missing today in K-1.
Besides you're fights with Aerts and Satake, I think you're fight against Lloyd van Dams was characteristic for Mike Bernardo.
The fact that you ended that fight and actually won, told me the most about you...

What can be said that hasn't already been. A living legend of the sport, and I hope to see at least one more big one out of you as the Kaoklai fight is not how anyone would wish to end a great career.
