I notice my thread just got deleted.
Just wondering why...
I know I was being a "bit" stupid... but I was actually giving props to the assembled "crew" and just wanted to get the forum started....
I'm not sure who deleted it, so I didn't know who to pm. Anyway, let me know.
Thanks.

Guilty as charged. I know you were just playing, but I deleted it due to the language used in there because I don't want new users, fighters, and coaches to get the wrong impression.

Ok, no problem.
So curse words, regardless of the context, are not allowed? Just wanted to be clear on that.

We use them all the time, so it's definiteley allowed. :-) It's just how it's used. Some like to post a simple reply like:
Fuck yeah!!!
And
You're a fucking idiot.
The former is a no good reply because it has no content, and the latter is just somebody wanting to show off their English language skills. Both are useless. In the latter case, we prefer that the poster provide a respectful and well-founded argument instead of just "flaming" a user. There's another site where guys can flame each others. This site is put up partly because we'd like to steer away from that and provide a place for more serious discussions. :-)

Ok cool, but I have NO idea what other "site" there is where that's tolerated... :D

You should ban M17 while he's still new... We couldn't stand his silly posts at Nokaut so we banned him right away. ;)
Anyways, nice to see another forum that wants to keep the discussions on a serious level! =)
BTW...how many smilies am I allowed to use? I used two and it said I had included too many images?

Two? Well, we can't let people be all smiles, don't you agree? Seriously, though, we'll take a look later in the day and see what setting it's about and what can be done. Enjoy your stay, guys!

BTW...how many smilies am I allowed to use? I used two and it said I had included too many images? It's set to 5 now. Smilies and images appear to count towards the same maximum limit. That's the only bad thing, cause we want a low maxlimit on the images so they're spread out on multiple posts and consequently multiple pages (faster loadtime for slow clients).

I completly agree. It looks stupid when some people tend to put 50 smileys in a row in a post.
3 would have been a good limit just for smileys, but since images and smileys are counted 5 will be just perfect, then you can insert both images and smileys without flooding the post with them.

I'm no big fan of smileys, and I think we turned them off at one point but somehow we fiddled that button and they came back. :-) <--- I like those kinda smileys.
