I've heard he's supposed to face Ricco at some future event and I don't think his record will improve with that fight.

I'm pretty sure Sims will just keep fighting as long as people are willing to book him on shows. For smaller events I suppose the promise of a former UFC heavyweight 'contender' has some allure, even if it is Sims.

And I'm not sure of this since I haven't seen the fight but I've heard Sims was pretty badly injured going into the fight (I've seen things about an arm injury). Not that he really had a chance of beating Tim Sylvia, lets face it, if he had this fight simply wouldn't have happened, but he might have been a little more competitive.

And the thing is, his antics ARE quite entertaining. At least to me. Also, he's young, big and has charisma. He has time to learn and perhaps improve his game. Maybe a change of team? I'm sure he's emotionally tied to the Hammer House since they've been behind him his whole career but he hasn't exactly progressed in the past couple of years and the Hammer House have always excelled with people who already have very impressive skills (in wrestling) before they even start MMA training.

It's a shame he behaved the way he did at the WWE Tough Enough trials (basically like a jerk from all accounts) as he has quite a few of the tools needed for pro wrestling. Although mentally I'm not sure he could cut it.

And the thing is, his antics ARE quite entertainingwell I guess that Sims is the guy everyone loves to hate. When you read some posters opinion about him you get the impression that they find him entertaining in the same way as a village idiot (no fighter bashing only trying to analyze what people find entertaining about him).

And I doubt his career will suffer from a loss to Tim Sylvia, no one really expected him to have much of a chance.

Hardonk had him in a keylock at rotr Sims tapped but the ref didn't see it. Antoni pulled harder and his arm started poppin' right there the match got finally stopped.

Striking was that in post bout interviews Wes stated that he wasn't surrendering and that his hurt arm and Tim Sylvia's hurt arm would equal the fight :).

The guy has a loud mouth on the wrong spot. In the Netherlands we'd call him a Zwatelaar. I hope he'll never return but I don't think this fight has sealed his fate. Losing to Sylvia is no disgrace, it was something I already expected.

Thanks for the information. And the Hardonk fight was only a few weeks prior to Sylvia wasn't it?

See, I knew Sylvia couldn't beat a healthy Sims! Rematch! Rematch! LOL.

Yep. I don't understand Sims' attitude. Your arm gets ripped appart only a couple of weeks before fighting a major force in the ufc hw division and instead of calling bad reffing and speak up he starts to talk smack about not tapping. All his fights I saw of him seriously shows that he has some major malfunction.

A rematch well, :D Perhaps it provokes a inverse trauma that he finally is back to normal an realizes that he should go back to basketball if he can still use his arms.
