Akiyama has been paired up with everyone so far. Everyone. This is not one I have heard anywhere reliable though.

In all reality though, this is NYE so anything could change.

I have heard Abidi vs Akiyama ( though that could now be shakey ) and JLB vs Sapp ( from great source ).

Also on the card but not mentioned there are Sefo, Musashi and Miyata which are also confirmed, so it might be a bit out of date now.

I thought Akiyama was paired up with Abidi in an Romanex Rules fight? Abidi's contract has something about one MMA fight a year in it so this would make sense. BTW If Sapp vs LeBanner is a done deal, I too have a feeling Sapp might win this one by KTFO.

I have a little clue.

At the press conference in the Prince hotel the 3 December, the interviewer said to Cyril: "Mr Tanikawa would appreciate if you could say something wild like "Akiyama, if you want to feel real pain then don't be afraid to step in the ring and face me" "
Cyril refused to make this prowrestler-like made-up comment and instead told him "go say to Tanikawa that if HE wants to see me doing something wild then HE comes in the ring with me".

I'm not sure the interviewer reported this to his boss, but it shows that as far as we know, this match was still set up the 3 december.

Le Banner is training since much more than yesterday for MMA with (if not mistaking) Gilles Arsene. Sapp can't hurt him so much at ground and Sapp at ground is to be expected to gas out even faster than in stand-up. If Jerome doesn't get hit by a haymaker I reckon he can take him out or win by submission.

JLB has the skills to win, but you can never underestimate the power of a 300lb+ guy scared shitless. Whoever lands wins with punchers that pack this much power.....I just wonder if JLB will unleash his shots or hold back...as if he holds back he really could eat more than he can handle.
