My ten favourite fight endings of 2004 so far, in chronological order. I can’t decide exactly on what order to put them in. Your thoughts? Anything I've missed?

Frank Mir – Wes Sims, 31/1, UFC 46
A great, knee-forearm, punch combination. Obviously easier to do on Sims as he isn’t particularly good in the first place and was thoroughly exhausted but still highlight reel material.

Nick Diaz – Robbie Lawler, 2/4, UFC 47
For the way Diaz just caught him so perfectly and Lawler’s face first bump.

Chuck Liddell – Tito Ortiz, 2/4, UFC 47
As much for the way the crowd were going so completely mental as anything. Also, you don’t often see Liddell pick his shots so well.

Sergei Kharitonov – Murilo Ninja Rua, 25/4, Pride Total Elimination
Excellent combination of punches, and the way Rua went down like he’d been shot after the last punch.

Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera – Hirotaka Yokoi, 25/4, Pride Total Elimination
The debut of the anaconda Choke. A great “rewind that I wanna see it again” moment.

Quinton Jackson – Ricardo Arona, 20/6, Pride Critcal Countdown
POWERBOMB!!!!

Fedor Emelianenko – Kevin Randleman, 20/6, Pride Critical Countdown
For shrugging off THAT suplex so easily and then neatly manouvering Randleman into the submission.

Mirko Cro Cop – Aleksander Emelianenko, 15/8, Pride Final Conflict
Perfect high kick, particularly on someone so big. And the way aleksander went down was priceless.

Yves Edwards – Josh Thomson, 21/8, UFC 49
Flying enziguri in a real fight? Finally somebody gets laid out with Antonio Inoki’s finisher.

Wanderlei Silva – Quinton Jackson, 31/10, Pride 28
Sheer brutality.

I went to showtime in the ArenA in Amsterdam this year and I was particularly interested by Dave Dahlgliesh he made an ass out of Barrington Patterson. Dave was much smaller but simply ducked the punches took him down passed the guard and pounded away. Won some eightcounts with it (those exist in Ima rules) and ko'd Patterson in the second round with a good counter.

Dahlgliesh also defeated Valentijn Overeem this year with a knee ko. Perhaps we are going to see more of him :).

Faverus vs. Manhoef was also awesome :).
