Cage Rage 10: Deliverance has been confirmed for February 26th at Wembley Conference Centre in London.

Renato 'Babalu' Sobral will be back, fighting Pierre Guillet. Guillet is 8-2 in MMA but hasn't faced any competition even close to Babalu's level. Really I think this is a step down from Cyrille Diabate so it's a little disappointing unless the plan is to have Babalu score a couple of very impressive wins to familiarise the fans before putting him into a big main event fight.

James Zikic has agreed to terms to challenge Mike Bisping for the LHW title. Bisping wants the fight too and the promotion simply have to work out his terms now. Should be a good fight and I'm picking Bisping by decision. Bisping's striking looked very good against Mark Epstein but Zikic has had some pro boxing experience. Bisping's certainly worth watching out for as he shows tons of potential.

No word yet on Lee Murray and Matt Lindland but I'm desparately hoping that one happens.

Are you planing on heading up/down to this one? I think you mentioned you had wanted to for the last event.

Really it depends on whether the Murray-Lindland fight happens. If that's on the show then I'll be going down for it. If not it's a more difficult choice, given the cost and work commitments. I'm not massively overwhelmed by the Babalu fight (though my girlfriend is a different story since she absolutely LOVES him) and the Bisping-Zikic match looks good but doesn't make me think I absolutely have to see this. It depends on how the other fights shape up.

If I do go then I'll put together a review and post it sharpish, though it may be a little incoherent if I get too overexcited.

Anderson silva will he fight cage rage again?

If Lindland vs. Murray happens I think Dana White has something to think about :) (or has he some connection with cage rage?)

I do like the events they put together. I hope this card gets the headliners it deserves!

I don't think it's any skin off Dana White's back if Murray-Lindland happens in Cage Rage. Dana's never hid his lack of interest in Lindland, and Murray screwed himself over with his legal problems and can't fight in the UFC anyway. Cage Rage is in no way any competition for UFC, so I can't see Dana worrying about it.

The smaller shows actually has an interest in having Lindland has the main event and as the poster boy for the show while the UFC seems to want nothing else than to have a reason for booting him of the show. It must be way more worthwhile for a fighter to fight for shows that shows an interest in promoting you.

Lee Murray vs Matt Lindland would be great, and it would probably lead to Lindland vs andersson silva which would be even greater.

I'm not sure Anderson Silva will be back for a future Cage Rage. Not only did he ruin things for them by actually beating Lee Murray (the guy they want to build the promotion around) but by the sounds of it was all a very chaotic situation even getting him in the first place. There was alot of confusion even about who his management team were and about a contract he'd supposedly signed to fight for K-1. Hopefully that's all sorted out now and we'll see him at a future event but I'm not overly confident.

The fuss about Andersson's future in cage rage is sad, I hope he will be back for future events. Bringing back the guy who beat their poster boy should be in cage rage's best interest, at least by being able to set up a rematch sometime in the future.

Agreed. I'd definitely like to see him back since a regular Cage Rage MW division featuring Murray, Silva, Weir and Lindland could set up some great fights for quite a few shows. It's pure speculation but Lindland-Murray, Weir-Silva, Silva-Murray rematch, Silva-Lindland, maybe bring back Jorge Rivera and throw him into the mix (mainly for a Weir rematch) would mean some quality fights and give the shows a real focus.

I think they have one of the best MW divisions if they can keep the fighters they have already shown.

MW division is one of the most entertaining in the world.

I think Cage rage does good in putting Lindland in their shows. He's a great fighter imo, he might not be the prettiest and have the most entertaining style but he is really good at MMA. I don't understand why ufc wants to get rid of him.

As well as Zuffa have done with UFC, and I think they've been great in basically saving it from extinction and doing alot of other important things, they do make some of the most bizarre personnel decisions.

I mean, Lindland is a great athlete, a top fighter, a great talker (for building up fights with interviews), is a very intelligent and articulate defender of the sport and has been involved in some very exciting fights - Bustamante, Baroni.

He's definitely not one of the prettiest though!

Pierre Guillet was supposed to fight Guy Mezger at EVT 4, but Guy cancelled that fight and went to fight Tito in UFC (well all know Guy got some problems, so that fight didn't happen). So his new opponent was supposed to be Allan Goes, but he had legal problems, and couldn't go to Sweden and fight..So Pierre got two big fights cancelled, I hope this happens, and no one gets injured or whatever. I think it wil be a good fight, thx for giving some info.

Just read on the MMA Forum at www.sfuk.net that two new fights have been signed for Cage Rage 10.

And both have the potential to be real crowd pleasing MW stand-up wars.

Alex Reid Vs Jorge Rivera - Reid lost an absolute war with Mark Weir. He loves to stand up and bang so this should be right up Rivera's street.

Sol Gilbert Vs Curtis Stout MW - Stout's a good fighter and Gilbert is very, very exciting.

Altohgether that means three fights definitely confirmed. These two and the Babalu-Guillett one. If they can pull off the Bisping-Zikic and (please, please, please) the Murray-Lindland fights this show could be amazing.
