Having seen some Japanese Pride ppvs, I notice that one judge(Shimada?) always gets booed by the audience at the intros, seems like they`re doing it in a humorous manner though. Why are they booing him?

A friend of mine was asking one of the Pride VP's about that at the Pride auditions, because Shimata was there. Apparently in Hustle, Pride's Pro-Wrestling division, Shimata plays a bad guy, so the Pride crowd boos him because of that.

Shimada is one of the main figures in "Monster Gun", the heel group led by Takada, in his ludicrous costume on Hustle shows.

I believe Shimada is the only guy to have appeared as part of Monster Gun on every Hustle show they've made an appearance at. Generally they just put in whichever MMA fighter or unknown masked pro wrestler/bodybuilder they can find in it so Shimada is more or less the face of Monster Gun. I can't recall Shimada actually doing any matches but he has taken a couple of moves in angles and brawls.

What makes the booing funny is that Shimada is actually representing Pride in Hustle so the Pride crowd booing him is a bit weird. Ah well. EVERYTHING to do with Hustle is a bit weird anyway.
