This is going to be a looooong show. From 6pm until 11:40pm. I assume K-1`s will be a similar length.
I believe there are 3 fights yet to be announced.

What channel? I think K-1 might be on 5 because it's not a GP event.
Maybe Pride will be on Fuji?

Yep. PRIDE is on FujiTV, and K-1 is on TBS ( same as the MAX events ).

even though the shows schedule point to a long show something tells me that a lot of these fights won't go the distance. The card is so much better than pride's last NYE show.

this time they have had time to plan, where as last year it was a last minute thing thrown together in retaliation to Inoki, and then K-1.....

Is Fuji a national channel, or do you have to pay for it to see the event?
Maybe there's a internet stream somewhere? But this probably asked a lot :D

It also happened right after their coolest event up to that point, Final Conflict 2003... it was still pretty cool I think.

I am so excited - I'm going to be in Japan for this show! My first live Pride event and I don't think I could have picked a card with more of my favorite fighters!

to me it seems like Pride is catering to the real mma fans with this card while K-1 is going for the general public or the casual fans with matchups like akebono vs royce, lebanner vs sapp, sefo vs goodridge, huge mismatches but exciting spectacles.
I believe it will be hard for PRIDE to win the ratings war against K-1 with this difference in their matchmaking.
