Funny. I just typed it on the other thread, and then read the yahoojp page and there it was!
If Mirko beats Randleman he's guarteed a shot at the Pride HW Belt! Go Mirko soon to be #1 contender! I hope and pray Mirko wins, because i've been dying to see Fedor vs Mirko!

I don't think he deserve to fight Randleman again, he got KO:ed and why should he fight him again? I always wanted to see Mirko vs Nog 2 or Fedor, so im don't know who to cheer for..hmmm.

Maybe because he won his last four bouts since that loss against Kanehara, Oyama, Emelienko, and Barnett whereas Ranleman lost his last two fights, one loss being against someone Mirko manhandled (Ron Waterman).
If anything, why does Randleman deserve to fight CC?

Why did Kanehara, Oyama, (both middleweights) deserve to fight Cro-cop?
They didn't.
Randleman fought Cro-cop last time because noone else would.
I mean, against Barnett nothing was proved, but we'll see what happens in the rematch.
No disrespect to either fighter, it is just a fight that should not happen.

I know that, it was just my rebuttle to the other poster making the comment that Mirko doesn't deserve a rematch. Personaly, I think Mirko is the most active fighter with a good percentage of finishing fights. He's the only one I can see as #1 contender in HW.

Well, Kharitonov finished every fight aside from Nogueira and has done it stylishly too.
I think Mirko should fight him, as I stated in a different thread.

Yeah, but Kharinotov is new to Pride, and beat a bloated LHW and Semmy Shilt.
Mirko on the other hand has been very active since his debut to Pride. He's only lost one of seven fights since his lost to Nogueira.

IMO for a true "#1 contender" fight Sergi is the real opponent, but I think PRIDE are just looking for an excuse to get Mirko the official spot after having had it promised to him several times before.
I for one, at this stage, just want to see Mirko fight Fedor. Stuff the belts etc, just get them in the ring already.
Sure we could have Sergi vs Mirko, then the winner there fight the loser of Fedor vs Nog, then the winner there face Fedor for the belt, but
Say Nog loses NYE, and fights the winner of Sergi vs Mirko......and beats them. We have a third year of no Mirko vs Fedor fight which is getting a bit much for any fan considering they are the top three ranked right now in PRIDE, and are perhaps in the top 5 world wide....

Thats what I want. Mirko vs Fedor. I want that fight more then anything Sora Aoi has ever done!

Yes, the fight I want is Mirko vs. Fedor... but I wouldn't say that Cro-cop dispatching Yamamoto, Dos Caras, Oyama, or even H20 combined overshadows the defeats of Ninja (who many experts predicted to win the fight with Sergei) and Semmy Schilt (who nearly defeated Barnett in their rematch.) He also defeated two more less than reputable fighters, but at least they were in his weight class.
The reason I keep repeating this fact is ou seem quite adamant on underrating Sergei's achievements in comparison to Mirko's as of late. Am I saying Mirko hasn't achieved that much? No, I'm just saying Sergei has looked just as impressive to me.
We can compromise on this issue:
Fedor gets to fight Mirko. Boom. This fight needs to happen.
Sergei gets to rebound from his loss. He gets to fight Heath Herring and or Yokoi. Maybe both. If Sergei wins those two fights, give him a title shot.
Then, he fights the champion whoever that is, or Mirko Cro-cop, because enough time had passed to hype the fight.

And I guess I might as well state, that I would rather have Cro-cop vs. Randleman II on the card than have niether Cro-cop or Kevin fight at all.
Cro-cop can get this off his back, Kevin can make some more money.

Yeah, I'm with ( o Y o ). I also would love to see Crocop agains Fedor. I, however, doubt that Mirko could do anything to Fedor. Their hands are IMO equal (or Fedor has better) and kicking would not be important factor in their match. That's because if you look at Mirko Vs. Barnett, you'll see that there is no (time for kicking if the opponent presses hard and is very aggressive. I mean Fedor would not be long time in a kicking range. He would strike, clinch and try to take him down.
Randleman IMO won't have any chance against Crocop. However, the fight might go to distance.
(Sorry, because of this drunken, little off the topic post)
