Yes I agree he has improved as a k-1 fighter he almost did beat Remy, but lets remember botha was fresh, Remy had fought 4 hard rounds. Gotta count for a big diff.
I think the result may be REMY again if they had a rematch.
My vote goes in now!

I'd like to nominate Bonjasky but I still feel he's a paper champ. I'm glad he won and saved K-1 credibility by not being beat by their judging. But I think his place in their finals was questionable, in fact it makes his 2003 GP victory look good (where there were not nearly as many good fighters).

I agree with you about Kaoklai, and I also still kinda feel Bonjasky is a paper champ, or at least a champion of something that really doesn't matter. I thought with Sapp and Akebono being kicked out of the K-1 competition would restore some legitimacy. But I just didn't enjoy watching it. I think K-1 HW is over. Hopefully, K-1 MAX doesn't follow.

I don't see how it can be anyone but Buakaw, he would beat Kaoklai (is this really pronunced "Gow-Glai"?) from one side of the ring to the other, and the fact that Botha could even be considered shows how sorry the K1 Heavyweights are.

i honestly cant see that awards tile anywhere! never mind though, my vote is gonna be a bit of a surprise. kaoklai has accomplished the most out of any fighter in the world this year imo, not just for his impressive performance at the world gp(contoversial loss? havent seen the musashi fight but i heard the decision was a poor one), but also for the fact that he's absolutely tiny compared to the other guy. he must have surely demonstrated this year that he's the (and i hate this cliche) "pound for pound" best k-1 fighter around (maybe masato or bonjasky).
anyway, im down for kaoklai.
