Very fast but, his punches kind of look like slaps.

He looks great. Guys help me out here. His kicks, were they the usual switch kicks? Sounds silly, but how did he do them? JWP and Masato kick like that a lot, and I cant quite figure out how they're done.

Hes shuffling his right foot forward a little bit and his lead foot slightly back and then does his left kicks. Atleast thats what i see.

your name suggests that you come from a Boxing-only background, hence you may have the better knowledge concerning punches, but for me as a MT guy those punches didnt exactly look like slaps??

if you mean the kicking with the front leg
try to pull your front leg back as less(!!!!) as possibly and your back leg to the front as less as possibly.
the more less you pull your leg back, the faster it will connect with the opponent, meaning more chances of the kick not getting blocked...BUT you wont have that much power in the beginning, because the leg gets pulled up practically without beeing pulled back before.
With time and practice your front leg will be able to bring up a real powerful AND FASTR kick
JWP uses that kick alot to the midsection
in the Arona vs Rampage bout Arona hammered Rampage with a few kicks with that technique, Rampage stated he couldnt walk properly for 3 days afterwards...
