I think most will know him, but still I can't find anything about him on kakutougi. So here's his own topic.

http://www.simonrutzpromotions.nl/foto/drago.jpgGago Drago is one of the most talented fighters here in Holland. He's still young (20 years) and fights mostly at 72 KG. In the coming year(s) he will try to make it into K-1 Max and if you ask me he's someone to watch out for!

At the moment he holds a record of 43 - 3 - 3 and was forced to fight mainly here in Holland (and Belgium I think) because he wasn't allowed to fight elsewhere because of procedures here in Holland (he's on asylum and needs a proper visum). It's all taken care of so he can fight outside of Holland now.

He has wins over Veselic, Main, Van Venrooij, Ali Gunyar, Ouali, Pique, Direkci, and many others, so some big names.

Drago is allround, always agressive and fighting forward, looking for the big KO and has great stamina. He likes a brawl and has great fighting spirit (like Dekkers). He has great techniques, especially his kicks and throws some backspinning kicks and axe kicks even. He has a solid chin and can take some punches. Over and over again he entertains the audience with spectacular fights.

Maybe that's his weak point too: because he can take punishment, his defence is not that great. But he manages to use that to come inside himself and hit his opponent.

For this topic I made a highlight of him. Unfortunately there aren't many videos online of him (at least, I don't have them) so I took some material from his fights with Main and Veselic and made a mini-highlight so the people who don't know him can get a good impression of him.

Bottom line: keep an eye on him and remember his name. Mark my words, this is someone with potential in K-1 max, we'll see him there within a few years (if K-1 cooperates ofcourse).

Discuss!

That's true. He captured me when he fought Veselic, he's always entertaining. He should surely get a go at k-1 max indeed and there is off course always superleague :)

Tremendous boy :)
He's not so technically compact yet and that indeed could eventually make his defensive subject to speculation from older guys in the game, but the potential he shows is exquisite :)

Tonight on Eurosport they are going to broadcast the mt/k-1 fights I think. They already showed the mma fights so I think this is going to be next. And then you can see him wreck Direcki :).

Drago is very aggressive. I think he is like unshaped diamond with lots of aggression.

I don't think he seems very technical, making him slow. Just looks like a freakin clown with those gymnastics moves. Watch out for the Finnish fighter.

A clown? he just throw them when he think it's suitable. And he got Veselic down with a backspinning kick and also got Main and Morris with it (no down though).

So who is this finnish guy? like to know more of him. Say what you want, but Drago is coming for the K-1 Max... and little to stop him on his way. If he can hang in with the big boys, that's the question... but we'll soon see.

Ok, I just thought we needed some provocation here... Let the finnish guy 'speak' for himself in the evening. Guess their styles are quite a bit different.

Can't say I know those names; and his record isn't that brilliant either if you ask me. While Drago already fought some tough known/good opponents. But you never know, he must not underestimate it.

Probably a Thai stylist, so maybe he must try the clinch on Drago, who doesn't use that too often. And he's quite short too, so there are his chances. ALlthough it'll probably on K-1 rules so the clinching will be stopped early.

We'll see what happens, but personally I'll think Drago will take this on KO, or the decision at least.

Drago won in a superfight in the second round. Corner threw the towel.

not an option I had considered, but my prediction was still pretty close. With all due respect to his opponent, Drago was just too much.
