He feels good and doesn`t feel pressure going into this fight. He got some advice from Saku and says he will try to not loose his concentration in the ring for even a second. He also says he will not at all back down from Silva's stand up.

About wearing his gi, he said "I has decided", but not whether he has decoded to wear it or not.

Silva will win by knockout. I like Nakamura too, but I just dont think he will beat Silva... How?

I agree with you totally ^^

I think the fight would look a lot like Yoshida/Silva. I say Silva by JD.

Yoshida had enough fear to get out of the way of some of Silva's shots..... Nak thinks he's really going to go in here and bang Silva up.... He won't survive the first. (Nice sig by the way)

Ummmm...

Is it a good idea to take advice on how to beat Silva from Saku?

I mean, that's like asking Royce for tips on stand-up...

lol

I think Naka is probably more confident in his stand up than Yoshida is, and that is probably where his (in his eyes) strength lies. He has been 15 minutes of eating Lil Nog punches and walked out with two rather black eyes, but kept attacking the whole time.

silva is a different kind of striker though.

I think if Naka has the smarts to have Silva think he is going to strike, but manages to get Silva down and stay active enough not to get stood up, he could pull off the JD. It is a huge call though and not overly likely.

It is sad, but he`ll lose.

It would be a nice upset if he pulled off the sub Yoshida was never close to though.

Maybe since Naka went to Brazil to train, he's found a little extra confidence in his standup? Or as oYo said, could be a tactical game plan.

If Naka has gained some power in his straight right hand he could surprise us all. :)

Almost every time Silva has hit the deck, it's been from a straight right punch.

I hope Naka can pull out an upset, but it won't happen.
he is not ready for Silva yet.. :(

I think Nak will do better than most expect. I don't think he'll win, but he'll give Silva some problems. I feel Silva will win a close decision.

You need to be able to land clean shots with authority on Silva's (rather weak) chin to be able to beat him. Nakamura doesn't have the boxing skills or KO power of Mark Hunt, or the handspeed and timing of Vitor Belfort. If he throws down with Silva he's going to be hurt very badly.

Wouldn't say Silva's chin is "weak" - last time he was KO'ed was, what, 1998? That's 7 years ago and how many fights has he had since then?

Few people have the KO power of Hunt (and he couldn't KO the supposedly "weak" Silva anyway, despite a 60 plus pound weight advantage) and as for Belfort's handspeed and timing, er, well, wasn't the last time he really demonstrated that against Silva in 1998?

Nakamura is short and compact, if he can get inside Silva's big, wild, caveman swings and land some short, straight shots I think he'll do better than people think. I still reckon he'll get KO'ed but, like Yoshida, he won't be lying down. Nakamura will make a proper fight out of this.

Hunt landed on Silva at will and dropped him a few times in the fight. Silva's chin isn't that great, he just has remarkable ability to recover combined with the fact that Hunt didn't really know how to properly exectute the GNP to finish Silva is the reason why Silva actually lasted the whole three rounds.

I bet Silva breaks his hand and messes up his elbow in the first three minutes, Nakamura wins by doctor stoppage :X

By the way, Silva by TKO.

Its hard to argue Silva has a weak chin AND has a remarkable ability to recover since the second negates the first. I do know what you mean but if he's so weak arounbd the whiskers how come he manages to make those recoveries? Like I said, Silva hasn't been KO'ed in 7 years (just watch it happen this weekend, lol). Also, Silva's skill defensively had at least something to do with him going the distasnce in that fight as well.

I mean he gets dropped often but manages to recover. Kind of like Arturo Gatti.

He puts himself in the jeapordy of big shots.... and I can tell you from fighting with those little ass gloves.... you dont last long if you get hit. Look at Randy, Vitor, and several others who did not recover from shots with the little gloves. Silva has chin and heart. Rampage just tried to put it out there that Silva's chin was weak. He can take shots.
