I'm afraid, but I think that many fighters use a some kind of "extra boosters" in their training or in the preparation for their fights. You just can't train with weights, and train some cardio or sparring sessions.

Imagine Kaoklai 50 pounds heavier.. He'll annihilate anyone.

Whats the bet that his opponent in Osaka is Schilt (or Sapp or Choi again).

The little thai needs some serious... chemical assistance.

Do you guys think steroids would really help Kaoklai? I don't even think he's the type to take those...

I dont think that steroids wouldn't help Kaoklai too much. Kaoklai has already great stamina, and he has build his cardio by training years and years. He has ability and stamina to train alot and hard. Kaoklai + 15-20 kg's muscle isn't Kaoklai anymore. He would lose lots of his mobility and speed. He is not a natural HW, and steroids don't make him a HW, despite his weight/power gaining.

I remember reading an interview somewhere on the net with a japanese journalist who was into the business of mma/puroresu, and he clearly said about K-1 that all the biggest names of the organization were on the juice. He added that Aerts and LeBanner had their bodies broken due to years of steroids and recreational drugs use, and that it very well could have been the reason Andy Hug died too. I'll try to find the interview, can't remember the guy's name.

edit The guy's name is Tadashi Tanaka, I don't know if he's a well known name in the japanese mma world, anyway here's his interview, in the middle of the page:
