No offence, but I really wasn't THAT impressed with Sapp. Like you posted before the ref magic was apparent and he still displayed some of his dodgy "tactics", I was pleasantly surprised by his improvements though but people are getting carried away.
Now Choi, that's another story. He'll win the GP.

I agree completely with the Sapp comments.
Choi I'll need to wait and see about. Howard is as known for losing as he is for bleeding. It was obvious he had no game plan other than try to land a huge, extremely poor, overhand right. Choi too though has made some great progress.
I expect the chance is high to see Sapp vs Choi in the Eliminations...

There were many improvements on Sapps behalf but I still wasn't excited that he won.
He seemed to hold back on hitting people after the ref had called break, though he did it a few occasions, nothing like with that korean guy earlier this year.
He was helped alot with that extremely long break before the final.

What the hell is up with Nakasako? I have just about given up on him.
Also, I think Hiromi vs Tomihira was a waste of decent talent as they are perhaps the two toughest guys on this card.

It sounds to me like Nako did a lot better in his first ever stand up event than we all gave him credit for.
As for Sapp looking good, I guess it is easy when the actual talent he is amoung is slightly lower than average.

How did Nakao do fighting under K1 rules (I'm sure most people expected him to get KOed)? I think the guy might have a decent future in MMA.
What's the deal with the Yuya Yamamoto fight? How did he get TKOed?
Good thing Hori beat Nakasako (seemed like the best bet...)
