I don't think Daniel Leko ever fought for Simon Rutz Promotions.

Holy shit......very nice come back to stand up for Leko. I may be one of the few that doesn`t tink it`ll be enough to get him ino K-1 though.

Why aren't you cheering for Hari, considering he's one of your countrymen.

First off I don't like his attitude. Second there's more than country to connect a person and I always was a Leko fan back in K-1. BTW I'm German and just live in Holland.

this loss wouldn't affect badly on badr hari's career, but it's perfect come back to Leko, back to the place where he really belongs - thai/kickboxing

Yeah it was a beautiful executed spinning back kick on the liver. Almost 100% the same as Kamel El Amranis last Superleague. Too bad, because before that Hari wasn't doing bad at all. Just confident, some nice combos, I think he could have given a tough fight to Leko.

Well, his entrance was longer then his performance (his total entrance was like 20 minutes, in two parts: he was the first to come up, and he just went through the crowd. Then the music stopped but Hari was still there, dancing and acting cocky. Then Leko came up. After that, Haris music went back on and he just continued his act!. Well pretty funny, and a very hostile staredown again.

anyway, after the fight, after he stood up while acting like a crying baby (but hey, it was a liver shot, nobody would have stood up :)) he wanted to speak to the audience.

He began with : ' good evening, ladies and gentlemen'. Then he stumbled: 'my entrance...' but he couldn't continue to speak anymore because the boo-ing was too loud. It was an anti-climax for a highly anticipated fight and many people felt... well robbed is maybe a wrong word, but it left me with a pretty empty feeling too.

Well, too bad he lost, but maybe it's good for him too... we'll see in the future :)

Thanks for the full results man ;)

Thank God that Leko beat Badr, since he became way too cocky. Great win for Leko, atleast now he knows for sure that K-1 is his game :)

Thanks for the results. Were you at the fights Jofeljoh? If so, how did the Pajunsuk fight go?

Jofeljoh!
13th June 2005, 01:29 AM
Yeah I was there.

To be honost, I found the Pajonsuk fight rather disappointing. That because I had expected a lot more from him because I have a very high esteem of him. Well, it wasn't really any spectacular, it was more a sort of routine-fight for Pajonsuk. Pajonsuk has over 160 fights while Slimani had around 40 or something (what the ring announcer said anyway, but I believe I've read that he has only 9 professional fights on his record, and an amateur world muay thai title, he won that in Thailand on full thai rules).

Giving the fact that Slimani only got the fight a few weeks (days even, I think), I would have given Slimani 3 (or 4 at highest) rounds, but managed to do pretty well against Pajonsuk on automatic pilot. Slimani got through sometimes with some punching combinations but never rocked Pajonsuk because of lacking powers. Sometimes an elbow and a regular throw/bodyslam of Pajonsuk and the win went easily to Pajonsuk. Still props for Slimani to get in there, I'm sure many people expected a bloody Pajonsuk-rape hehe.

Maybe I expected too much of it and looked dull. But I went to the Muay Thai Champions League in Amsterdams 2 months ago where he fought Vielvoye, and there were much less audience making a lot more noise in much more thrilling fight. Remarkable, but true.

Ahhh thanks man. I was one of the people expecting a Pajunsuk rape, but only because he is one of my favorite MT fighters out there right now.

Yeah well, maybe I'm too over-critic. I guess a lot of people would rate the fight as average to pretty entertaining though. Pajonsuk is still a class apart from the rest and that alone you can feel by every movement and body language.

I was rooting for Hari, but Leko took care of business. Brutal spinning backkick, no one would have gotten up from that. Still, even though it was a first round KO, Hari did ok and I still think he'll be a dominant force within a few years.

What a great ending to this match! Leko really impressed me with the way he KO'd Hari! Since I heard about this fight, I always wanted Leko to KTFO him, but I didn't expect it so early and so beautiful! Stefan, congrats for your win and thanks for showing Badr his place in the row! Now come back to K-1, damn it!

I agree with the opinion that I expected Leko to win and dominate the fight, but in no way did I see him winning so fast. I know he is on Bad terms with K-1 so getting back in will be difficult, but I want him back in anyways.

I am only diapointed in Vitali Ahkramenko, who is one of my favorite fighters and yet he went down to leg kicks. Does anyone have a background on Gokhan Saki? I want to know who he is and where he is from. I would also like to know what his record is if anyone has it.

Saki is from Holland and trains with Golden Glory. Don't know his record off-hand, but for what it's worth, I've seen him fight a few times and he's very good. Excellent kicks, as Ahkramenko found out. He fought Hari last October and was hanging with him, albeit being slightly behind on points, when he had to forfeit due to an injury. Definately one to look out for, as Ahkramenko is not an easy man to beat, much less stop with lowkicks.
