Is this for real? I don't really like either of them, but at least LeBanner is exciting to watch. He should KO Sem.

I think Jerome will get his head kicked in ... or Jerome will go frenzy and KO Semmy in the first round.

Ahhh, Samir Mohamed Vs. Kamel Jemel. Finally. Eurosport should be broadcasting that event live if Will Vanders was correct on their last "Best of" show.

Le Banner should be able to win this one, Ignashov knocked out Schilt in a couple of minutes and Jan Nortje also managed to knock Schilt down if I remember correctly.

I don't think Schilt will be able to shut down Le Banner the way he shut down Hoost and Bonjasky

Schlitt seems to have improved in the last couple years.
could be an interesting match up.

I think Schilt would have a good chance outside of France...but without knees against a really good fighter like Le Banner its too hard for him.

Semmy does have powerful kicks though, so LeBanners arm will want to hold.

That said, I think given the fact he is also mentioned for HERO's in the same week, and fact the HERO's fight will probably be against a newer MMA fighter (far less damage to the body) and the fact they would pay him considerably more than the above.....I wont go getting too excited about this one yet.

I actually think the exact contrary. LeBanner's participating to that event was announced months ago in the press and by french boxing announcers and the promoter Samy Kebchi is a man LeBanner has lots of respect for. I doubt he'd just tell him to fuck off and go to Japan instead.

First of all I am super excited for this event. More so for the Samir/Kamel fight then for the Lebanner/Schilt one. People feel that Samir has one great fight on his flawless 100-0 record(JCS). Kamel is one of my favorite fighters and this is just the kind of fight that both guys should be fighting. Another top level fighter. As opposed to the weaker wins that made up the bulk of there 100 plus win records.

I gotta go with Kamel on this one. I don't think any fighter in the world can match the volume of strikes that Samir has in his arsenal, but I do think that there are fighters that match his power and I feel Kamel not only matches it, but is stronger.

I think that Semmy will struggle against someone that hits as hard as Lebanner. I see Lebanner finishing this one early.

Is this one like Smiler vs LeBanner? It was "100% Confirmed" until K-1 got wind of it.

I love Jemel's style. Left head/body hooks until you back off into a right headkick. Brilliant.

Yes, but it was just before 'The Fight of The Year' for K-1, so I'm not surprised they didn't want to risk it. Now JLB has some time before Final Elimination, so I guess this fight will happen...

It would be perfect if they show it live on Eurosport!

Raziel has just said on Ironlife this fight is now off and JLB is now facing TBA.

Damnit, it better be somebody good. Somebody like Badr or Bonjasky, or even Smiler. I will be upset if they throw him a bum.

But not all the way upset because the big fight for me is Samir/Kamel.

Well, I can`t see them wanting to risk lebanner getting injured before the Sept eliminations...

You will be upset because it will be a bum. The LeBanner pattern is beginning to form. This is a common PR technique. Promise something outrageous then begin describing something that wouldn't draw anyone's attention in the first place.

Jerome-Schilt was never going to happen. Shaka Zulu has a better chance of getting a contract.

Again? I wonder if he will be expected to fight back this time. lol

LeBanner vs Aziz

The battle of the broken arms.

(yeah, I know Abidi kicked LeBanners arm a couple of times).

Hmmm. Let's put together a list of which K-1 fighters have been fed the most Bums/Cans in their career. Should be an interesting list.

I wish I hadn't read that. I'll end up dreaming this list every night until I get out my pen and write it down. I think I have a disease or something.

I'll PM you my list sometime - you can then make additions and corrections before one of us posts it :) should be a good read.

Over the last two years I would say Musashi.

As a career % I doubt one would be able to beat Kakuda.

True

Andy had quite a few cans as well.

wasn't musashi a student of kakuda ? it seems to me I remember something like that.

Concerning Lebanner I agree : I don't think he will face a big name unfortunately.
What a shame !
Just seen the fight JLB vs Abidi and of course have understand the interviews before the fight (as a frenchman, of course) : loooooooooooooooooooool !
what a tension between them !

Actually it would suprise me if Schilt would accept to fight JLB in a k-1 fight ... without knees. It's one of his biggest weapons (like bonjaski who refused to fight him too in Paris, no knees) and I think it would be harakiri for Semmy ...

I read somewhere that the fight is already cancelled.
