Tell me more about Kaolan Katowachit

I've only seen one of his fights (loss to Sato). I know he made it to the K1 MAX finals a few years ago and got KTFO, and that he was a MT champion in Thailand but that's about it.

So tell me more about Kaolan

He looks like a pretty dirty fighter is all I know about him.

he was very highly respected fighter back in the day in Thailand. Top Songchai fighter and former sportswriters of Thailand boxer of the year won a few Lumpini titles also. Always had a bit of a question mark about his chin though, my friend Nungubon Sitlertchai knocked himout way back when he was 118 pounds, if Kaolan had won that fight he would have got fighter of the year vote then also. he stopped fighting after dislocating his shoulder in fight with Japanese boxer Masaki Kato but has been talking about a possible comeback

I believe Kaolan was actually the favorite to the win the first K-1 Max Grand Prix.

What were all of Kaolan's big wins? I know he beat Dejpitak, Pajunsuk (both won & lost), Rambo-Jiew (both won & lost), Super Black Orono, and Kohiruimaki, but would you be able to tell us who else he beat?

Also, wasn't he a bit abnormal in that he reigned as champion for quite a long time, whereas most Thai champions lose their titles fairly quickly?

I think Kaolan also fought & beat Therdkiat (The guy who fought Jongsanan several times), but it could have been someone with a similar name.
