Only that as usual you look at one side and ignore the other.

1 - you're still so biased as ( o Y o ) just pointed out.
2 - as the headbutts were proven to be from both sides and no fighter really complained, fans should just get over it.
3 - i see more an attempt of highkick than a knee. it would have been easyer to place a knee from the front than from the side.

Yes, 1 thought: for fighter safety, the referee should keep the fighters from headbutting.

They both went for it, though Abidi could have done so a bit more subtilely. :D

I can't remember any intentional headbutts from JLB. I remember 1 intentional from Abidi. Do keep it mind, though, JLB's style promotes "unintentional" headbutts from him. Digging your head down and using it to lead when moving straight forward and bobbing and weaving. You see fighters in various sports using that quite often and the typical pattern is the guy that intentionally headbutts is the same guy getting frustrated with having the opponents head in his face all the time. It's better in boxing where referees immediately tell them to quit. Quite a common strategy in clinch, too, where the one opponent is cut and the other tries to use his own head to make the cut worse. They're all varying degrees of using your head as a weapon. That said, my original point is the referee should for fighter safety caution them about headbutts.
So did JLB throw any intentional headbutts? Not that I recall.
Did Abidi throw any intentional headbutts? I remember 1.
Are things always black or white? No.

JLB charged forward with his chin down and pressed abidi. This way they could have clashed heads. It is indeed up to the referee to warn the fighters about it and give a yellow card if needed. One headbutt from abidi was very obvious and the ref was in the good position to see it so I don't understand why he didn't penalize this.
Basically the ref fucked up.

Man Abidi as done olegal blows so many times in the past (agaisnt Sefo, Hoost, Aerts) that i don`T really thank that this should be discussed....in this fights everybody noted that it was a brawl....so no comments whatsoever....

But on this fight i think that both fighters should be warned about the "head use in the fights".

just wanna quote my good buddy M17:
When you're sitting on the fence,
And your balls get tense...
They're nervous. They're nervous.
headbutts are part of the business, not fair, not clean, or classy, but they're here, and will be hanging (like those balls on the fence, LOL) here till the end of time...
only this time one abidi's headbutt turned JLB into Quasimodo, big deal!
