It says Abidi's conrner got in the ring in the final round, but the guy was wearing black (not the blue the rest of Abidi's team was wearing, and he came from LeBanners corner.

But still Abidi got pretty owned... just got back from the event, after a six hour drive. Good event, exciting fight. Respect for Abidi taking all that punishment and keep going.

What exactly did he say when he came back in the ring with all the fans around it? Unfortunately I couldn't hear it (besides that my French is pretty crappy too).


By the way I think I hurt some French men feelings. We were there, dressed in orange shirts and waving the Dutch flag. Something tells me that some guys around us were a bit irritated when we were cheering for Semmy (him beating to French fighters) lol. But still, pretty good atmosphere and I really want to repeat it next year.

It does tend to gloss over the smaller stuff and focus only on the bigger.....and the idea leBanner wasn`t trying to put Abidi away is nice and dramatic, but far from accurate I think, and JLB was rather surprised a couple of times Abidi was still fighting.

Coupled with the lack of mentioning the huge rump streak attached to LeBanners head, and the pic pebing one that covers it, it does kinda look like they want it to sound like it was 5 rounds of Abidi as a punching bag, which it wasn`t.

The result was never in question come round 5's near end so there was no rip off at all, but the ending of the fight in the article doesn`t match too well with wha I saw.
