Result: DRAW

KING OF THE RING super world title, 75 kg, oriental kick rules, 5x3':

GURKAN OZKAN ( TUR ), champion
vs
PAVLOS KAPONIS ( GRE ), challenger

OZKAN wins by KO in the 4Rnd. Strangely the greek fought very good till the 4th then suddenly kind of 'dropped his Guard' and let himself get Koed. Very strange...

The Speaker was a fu&"@%!!!! My turkish collegue always translated to me when the Speaker made jokes about the foreign Fighters, basically bashed them - unbelievable, he even insulted them at times, of course they wouldnt understand shit

apart from those 2 'accidents' the event looked good through the tvscreen

Im surprised they cleared him to fight again - especially if he got KOed first time around. Damn... they should have backup fighters or reserve fighters for this sort of thing.

sorry, i wasnt always in the same room as the tv, too busy having a party...the only KO i saw by myself was the one by Ozkan vs Kaponis, which looked to me like Kaponis was payed to get koed by fists...

the guy that watched the whole event basically doesnt give a fuck because hes not too much interested, in all hes like: 'iam not sure, i cant remember blablabla' when i asked him about the 2KOs on Elizabeth

so iam not sure if the first came by bodypunches or via the head - but it is also very possible that he got koed and then saw the chance for revenge (with one fight less on the night he may have thought he had more left), but that didnt happen his way.

It was an enjoyable night for me.I think that Apache Serkan would have won the 8 man tournament if he wasn't injured.

Serkan Yilmaz ko'ed Elizabeth,Joseph Yaucat beat Prince Hamid,Prince Amir beat Economu,Aapache Serkan ko'ed Chris Riley.Because Prince Amir and Apache broke tehir foot they could not go on.

Serkan Yilmaz faced Yaucat and he won.Elizabeth faced Prince Hamid and he won.So Yilmaz vs Elizabeth will be the final fight.

Gurkan beat Pavlos, very enjoyable fight.Headhunter and Ramazan Beyazkaya drew.

A Polish guy named Rozinsky challenged Birol Topuz of Turkey.Rozinsky said he wants to kill Topuz, they both stepped into the ring surrounded by bodyguards, the Polish guy was really talking out of his ass,and Topuz said let's have a round of applause for our guet, let's show him Turkish hospitality,we will talk in the ring in 3 months.

Tayfun Aktoz of Turkey beat Francois Decrawhez of Belgium.

Serkan Yilmaz won the 8 man tournament.

I copied this from another forum,An Australian guy's comments:

"What an extranaganza whitnessed last night in Istanbul, The show started 9 pm and finished 2 pm no joke! Everything lived up to expectations, would have to be one of the best shows Tarik Solak has ever produced, the entertainment was crazy, the Ring Girls were crazy, they diddnt have pop tarts doing the catwalk they actually had the miss world ladies from 6 countries.

The crowd came to see the Supreme Fighting Machine, once he started entering the ring the crowd went crazy, he has never had that much respect. His opponent Kaponis from Greece lived up to his expectations and hurt Gurkan in the 1st round, Gurkan was so close to stopping the fight himself because he really had something bad happen to his left arm which caused him so much pain, Tarik Solak went to his corner and Screamed his head off, you cannot lose at your own turf you can not lose.

2nd and 3rd looked very dangerous for Gurkan, His arm wasnt looking good, the Greek hurt kept going for his legs and Gurkan started to feel the pain, the Fans kept cheering him on, his Greek opponent was 1 cocky fighter and started to showoff. 4th round came and we whitnessed the Supreme fighting Machine unload his strength, came out bursting and caught Kaponis with a straight right hand and dropped him to the canvas, he had blood streaming down his nose could not get up, the punch was like a train comming at you.

The win sparked the crowd to go crazy about Gurkan, win lose or draw i mean his fight wasnt that effective but it was one for the crowd to have their moneys worth, Tarik was so glad Gurkan had one that he lost his voice screaming to him before.

i will try and post all the results up but SERKAN YILMAZ won the 8 man tournament, Headhunter drew to his Turkish Opponent but i thought Headhunter did eneough to win. Apache Serkan is 1 to look out for in the future, stunning leg kicks and punches. It was a clean swoop for The Turkish Fighters 7 of the 6 winning with a way of knockouts and the other had a draw the with the Headhunter."

They are thinking of organising a Turkey vs The World event. When that happens the main event will be Birol Topuz vs Rozinsky.

In my opinion the Turkish team should be picked from the following:

Gurkan Ozkan
Birol Topuz
Ismail Hakki Onder
Serkan Yilmaz
Serkan Yavuz(Apache)
Asim Sever
Senol Cetin
Tayfun Aktoz
Ramazan Beyazkaya

Only 7 will make it.

I don't want to take away anything from Pavlos,he gave Gurkan a tough fight, personally I'd like to see him fight again,he steps in to the ring to fight, but you've got to admit that he got KO'ed by Gurkan Ozkan,no questions or buts or any other excuses.
