Mark Epstein v. Mathias Riccio (LHW)
Travis Lutter v. Matt Ewin (MW)

Looks to be a great start. No word of Freeman?

No word yet. Depends on the severity of the injury that kept him out of the last show. Seems he injured himself just a couple of days before CR11 so if it's a serious one it would cut significantly into his training time for a show thats about 7 weeks away.

There's a rumour going around, still only a rumour at this stage that CR British WW Champion Paul 'Hands of stone' Jenkins will be fighting Jason 'Mayhem' Miller as well.

That should be worth a few tickets for the ring entrances alone.

I really hope that doesn't happen Jenkins is fighting in the WEC is about 2 at Lightweight, he shouldnt be taking on Yank at 77kg, when he can cut to Lightweight. Just looks liek to me that another UK fighter is being fed to the lions

See what you mean Ian. Problem is whether Jenkins really wants to cut to LW consistently. And while I certainly wouldn't expect him to beat Miller I can see why this would be put together given their personalities. Jenkins' 'character' is such that quite often it really doesn't matter whether he wins or loses. As long as he's entertaining. And by having Miller on the show they get to capitalise on his recent UFC debut to create a bit more buzz about the event. And its not as though Jenkins ever turns down a challenge anyway, lol.

If they can get Miller over here then which other British WW's do you think would be a good fight?

To be honest Jenkins has forught pretty much all the Uk welterweights going, he has averaged 16-18 fights per year over 3 years. I speak to Jenkins quite a lot at events and he's been planning to cut to Lightweight for a while, i think there woul be better matches for him. If he wants to stick at WW, he should look to Europe, as when he's made the leap before he's been kinda shot down.

During August/Septmber he was 0-4 where he lost to both Dan Hardy and Paul Daley as well as 2 top Euro talents. I think on teh top of his game, which he is at now he can trouble teh best and could be the British number 1 at 77kg. But i fear that against US talant he'll find it very tricky.

I dont mean that in a bad way as i'm a fan and seen most of his fights...i just think Milller is a bad move.

UK based fighters are 0-7 against North American and brazilian talent in the last 2 Cage Rage show. And since Cage Rage 7 uk based talent is something like 3-10 against that opposition.

Which is why i think Miller vs Jenkins may not be wise. But saying that a 4th Jenkins Daley showdown may not be great either

After sitting through the Jenkins-Daley fight at CR11 I'm not sure I want to see another meeting anytime soon either, lol.

Its not so much that it was horrible or anything, just a pretty big letdown considering how it might have turned out.

I'd like to see Miller fight over here but you're right, Jenkins isn't really the right opponent.

Hadn't looked at the UK fighters v. American & Brazilian ones like that either. 0-7 certainly isn't too great.

I saw the previous 2 fights between Daley and Jenkins

At Cagewarriors 8 Daley was unstoppable and Jenkins wasn't really with it at all and got KO'ed In January their Cage Kickboxing bout sounded like their CR fight as both men canelled either other out with Jenkins just nipping it on points.

a rematch between Hardy and Jenkins might be a good fire. Hardy has been on fiore at Cagewarriors, beat Jenkins at FCFN 2 in MMA, lost an Nemis fight fight in Hybrid kickboxing. That would be a good fight. Jenkins shoud defend the British Title as after a few defenses he gets to keep it.

Part of the reason I was so let down by Jenkins-Daley at CR was I'd read about their CW 8 match and expected fireworks. Personally I'd have given the decision to Daley but it was one of those fights where its so close there simply isn't any point complaining about it either way.

No words about Jean Silva? He was supposed to fight in Cage 10 but his opponent got ill. I thought he would be scheduled to fight on Cage 12.

its not till july they got a lot of time yet. I'd like him to fight Niimaki as i think he could beat silva

It really sucked the Silva-Niinimaki fight didn't happen last month. Think Silva, healthy and on his game would beat Niinimaki, but even then it'd be a very hard fight for Silva. Those two fighting in July would be great but from something I read elsewhere, a hint really (think it was the report of CR11 on the www.cagerage.tv website) sounds as though Silva won't be back until the October or December shows. Not sure how accurate it was but it mentioned something about Jean Silva and K-1, which I'd expect would mean something about the Hero's tournament. Nowhere near 100% sure though.

Thanx for the pix Kainer - more action in those two stills than in 3 rounds of Jenkins-Daley at CR11.

Phil [Gladiator] Norman vs Darren Guisha is up on the Cage Rage site now. A very interesting fight.

Guisha is a big strong powerful fighter. Big ticket seller, huge support based in Kent, is the UKMMAC British Welterweight Champion. Whilst Normal won at Pain and Glory and Cage Rage Co-promotor Dave O'Donnell couldnt say enough good thigns about him
