Even though I love the Gracie family, I would love to see Gono get the win.

Looks good!

Taisho vs. Jens Pulver - Pulver should take it in dominant fashion.

Donkojonosuke Mishima vs. Yves Edwards - Should be an exciting fight. I give the edge to Yves.

Ryuki Ueyama vs. Milton Vieira - Ueyama is bigger, but I think Vieira will win.

Akihiro Gono vs. Crosley Gracie - Gono has good strikes and Crosley is still pretty much unknown. What we do know about Crosley is that he's good enough to hand Mach his first submission loss in almost 30 fights. Gono has won his last 2 fights with strikes, hard to say who takes this one.

How is it that Ueyama gets another shot when he was mauled by Sherk last year and has three straight losses?

It realy is an increadible card. I am surorised how little people on the boards all around are discussing it.

LMAO, have you switched your sarcasm detector off?

Or are you wishing you were in prison back home in Tasmania, which IS part of Australia, just so you could get some free pizza?

Seriously, a fantastic looking show.

Sarcasm? Piss off.....it is Monday here and humour on Mondays is never a good idea. particularly the Monday that comes at the end of a ten-day holiday.....

Some pizza would make me feel a little better about it though! lol

I assume you didn`t need to get up at 5am this Monday morning for work if you are in fine humour.......

Oh, and the reason Tasmanians are so damned....weird.....is they are so bloody isolated the poor bastards haven`t had a chance to get their Brit. blood diluted.

MWahahahahaha.........

Oh, and to keep semi-on topic, the wallpaper is kinda cool for this Bushido.....so different to the others.

Because there's no MMA outside of Pride and UFC and a lot of these fighters are from imaginary promotions like "Pancrase" and "Shooto". :P

Talent wise, this is probably the most stacked card i've ever seen outside of a GP and even then...

WAR MINOWA!!111!!

LMAO at the "imaginary promotiuons" bit. so what is Shooto anyway? Is it a gun club? And why Pancrase, why not Kidnee, Lungh or Spleene?

Well, ignoring the spelling mistake (which i'm assuming is for stylistic reasons):

Main Entry: pan·cre·as
Pronunciation: 'pa[ng]-krE-&s, 'pan-
Function: noun
Inflected Form: plural pan·cre·as·es also pan·cre·ata /pan-'krE-&t-&/
: a large lobulated gland that in humans lies in front of the upper lumbar vertebrae and behind the stomach and is somewhat hammer-shaped and firmly attached anteriorly to the curve of the duodenum with which it communicates through one or more pancreatic ducts and that consists of (1) tubular acini secreting digestive enzymes which pass to the intestine and function in the breakdown of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates; (2) modified acinar cells that form islets of Langerhans between the tubules and secrete the hormones insulin and glucagon; and (3) a firm connective-tissue capsule that extends supportive strands into the organ

Isn't it clear why a fighting organization would be named after this particular organ?

Does anyone know more about Ueyama? His fighting record doesn't look very good. Miltinho is supposed to be better than Buscape and Azeredo. I think this will be a very fast fight.

Ueyama is pretty tough. He lasted the distance with Sean Sherk - was thoroughly dominated but Sherk just couldn't put him away. He's one of those guys whose record is pretty deceptive and has some decent wrestling, decent strikes, decent submissions. Doesn't do anything really special but an all-round pretty good fighter. He was supposed to fight Lee Murray at Cage Rage 11 but pulled out to concentrate on this fight, so I'm hoping he gets pasted, lol. I actually think he would have given Murray a tough fight. Don't see Ueyama (trained by Kiyoshi Tamura by the way) winning this one but think he'll be competitive.

Ueyama last lost to Minowa didn`t he? And then Minowa called out Tamura for a rematch?? Or did I dream this?

Ueyama also lost to Murahama and Suda or at least he should have.

I think he's capable enough to dull/put his opponent to sleep.

Ueyama can take some shots, but hell he is boring as crap overall. He must get in Bushido as some sort of deal with Tamura I guess.
