30th April 2005, 12:25 PM
The Cagewarriors Ultimate Force team of Paul Murphy and Dave Mangham are proud to announce the main event for their first Cagewarriors branded show on the 30th April. As the Sheffield Octagon Centre will see a huge heavyweight rematch when Tengiz “The Barnsley Gladiator” Tedoradze (13-4-0) will look to re-claim the Cagewarriors Heavyweight Title from current champion Jeff "The Snowman" Monson (14-5-0)
Monson is one of the most dominant sport grapplers in the world today. Voted "Submission Grappler of the Year" by Onthemat.com in 2004, this multi-faceted star is a former Abu Dhabi Champion, Multiple times NAGA Superfight winner, multiple time Grapplers Quest Winner and is also a 3 time UFC veteran
Tengiz Tedoradze is one of the UK’s top Heavyweight fighters and has beaten the likes of Remco Pardoel (UFC 2 veteran) at Extreme Force 1 and James Thompson (Pride 28 veteran) who had his undefeated record shattered by Tedoradze in 2 rounds of brutal ground and pound action in June last year.
Tengizx Tedoradze will be looking to take back the CWFC Title he lost at Cagewarriors 9: Xtreme Xmas in December here in the Octagon Centre. That Night Tengiz suplexed Monson early on and nearly finished the fight with some ground and pound. However Monson held on and used his considerable submission grappling skillsto escape the 2 time Greco-Roman World Champion's offensive and wore him down enough to win the fight via RNC in the latter stages of round 1.
Since that lost “The Barnsley Gladiator” has changed teams and wants his title back but has he had enough time to turn things around, or will Monson show yet again why he is one of the most underrated Heavyweights in the world today and retain the Cagewarriors Heavyweight Title
This show will also feature the unbeaten Cage Rage Light-Heavyweight British champion Michael "The Count" Bisping (5-0) as he makes his Cagewarriors debut against former professional boxer Dave Radford in should be an amazing stand-up war at “Ultimate Force”
The final featured bout is between Ian "Mongoose" Jones (3-0-0) from Wakefield submission taking on the North East powerhouse Michael "Rocky" Holmes (4-2-0). The "Mongoose” is a former Muay Thai champion who has won all his fights by submission, whilst Holmes is a tough heavy hitting power puncher who likes to stand and trade but can unleash some devastating ground and pound on the floor.
The events starts at 7pm uk time tonight go to http://www.cagewarriors.com/page.asp?ID=766 for more details including a full card
