Sims seems to be backing himself into a corner with all these losses.

Grant Ellis
21st November 2004, 07:22 AM
Tis true.
He's not a real fighter though, just some kid Coleman picked on for a while.

Hard to believe he beat Conan Silveira.

( o Y o )
21st November 2004, 07:26 AM
Very true. Must have been an off day for Conan. lol

I really wonder where he turns from here? I wonder if K-1 would offer him something on NYE and then try and go through him to Coleman or Randleman......

Grant Ellis

Sims is supposedly fighting Tim Sylvia in December at Super Brawl...but I'm not sure if they will want him anymore.

( o Y o )
21st November 2004, 07:37 AM
Yeah, I hope for his sake that the contract is already signed. He REALLY needs to pull off a win against Tim there.

21st November 2004, 08:09 AM
I have been interested to see what Nakao can do ever since his very brief fight against Frye at Romanex. He has wrestling, a huge set of balls, and now GnP. Seems he may make something of his MMA career, or at least open some eyes with this performance.

Congrats to him.

And he did all this to a considerably larger opponent.
Let's see how he fares against a guy that is either comfortable on his back or can take him down. He seems to have the skill- and mindset.

No idea at all, but I assumed he started after K-1 announced it which was only a month or so ago.

And damned, Carter was fast. Great for him to get a win, and now hopefully an invitation to Dynamite.

That would be great! I sure hope it puts him on the right track. Granted, Howard is not an A-level opponent but maybe this will bring back some needed self-esteem.

BJ just beat Gomi, Hughes, Ludwig, and now Gracie.
He is for sure p4p the best.

( o Y o )
21st November 2004, 09:17 AM
Sounds like total domination after the first round. Guess the extra weight didn`t affect BJ`s cardio at all.

All in all it sounds like an exciting event. I can`t wait until they show this next month on SkaPa in Japan.

Thanks for all the updates Grant. And congrats to all winners, particularly Nakao, Royler, Carter and BJ.

Solid win for Penn, sounded more exciting as I was expecting it to be. Penn is on top of the world now it seems.

BJ Penn is really unstoppable at the moment!!
Good too see Hardonck beating Sims!!

Kamatari

Does anyone know with whom and for how long he trained MMA?
If I can remember correctly he trained a bit with KID Yamamoto in preparation for this bout. Didn't really pay attention to this event.

O'Haire versus Oyama was messed up matchmaking, thought that he would somehow be able to KO him though. Oh well, he'll walk into a solid punch one day. Another big win for Penn, but I didn't see any way Rodrigo could have won this.

Thx. Haven't seen it yet but from the descriptions it seems he gave Royler a good fight. If he hooks up with Kid maybe he'll have a future in MMA.

Hopefully he trains hard and sticks with it because he has a lot of potential
