Averaged 18.7% and had a high (Yoshida vs. Silva) of 24.5%

Very healthy numbers indeed for a show that was going to flop....as some said.

The top part is about Nino vs Chonan as I see Jules already posted.

*awaits Zach Arnolds article about panic in DSE and Fuji TV offices and how the GP show only sold out 50%*

Well Arnold has this to say:
With this said, no other media publications have produced ratings information on the PRIDE show. I would imagine if the number is as high as being reported by Fuji TV, everyone would carry it.
At least he's being serious about writing the show off and doesn't hesitate to bring up some conspiracy theories :D.

Sad that now Sankei, Sportsnavi and some other respectable japanese pages are also carry the confirmed number now.....

24.5 is a fantastic number and makes it amongst the highest or possibly even THE highest rated 'proper' fights (ones that don't involve Ogawa or Giant Silva) in company history.

I'm willing to bet right now that Silva v. Yoshida III will take place on New Year's Eve.

This is good news right ??? I guess Pride returned their investment and we will see more graet cards. Bushido card looks like one that can bring high ratings as well

30million homes watching means it will happen again, and Yoshida will 100% be in the reserve match.

:) What's even worse, some people claim Arnold to be a "reliable source".

24.5? Those are good numbers.

I think those numbers show that the GP format and Pride will be out there for some more time, but Arnold has some good points in that article. Another thing is - it was pointed out in the puroresupower - if you take out Wand x Yoshida and Sakuraba x Sik, you have numbers around 14% for the other fights... His conculsion? Once you have the big japanese names out, the ratings will become very low. It would make sense but it seems he doesn't want to see that in the next shows, Pride can still have big names for the japanese crowd because there will not be only GP fights. They will maybe have Yoshida x Sik... And we will have at least more 3 fights in the card (not GP).

Take the big fights out and you still have 14% is correct Brazilianshiva....and 14% during golden time on a Saturday night are still quite respectable figures and are similar to the entire of PRIDE 29;s figures....

Without doubts (oYo), it was pretty good numbers; and plus that they will not have only GP fights in the next shows. This GP is turning to be a great success to Pride.

Huge success so far.....those are the best real fight ratings I have heard of in a long time....if ever.

they also nail down the fact we will be seeing Yoshida in either the next, or final event fighting for the reserve spot......probably the final event as Saku and Naka could get knocked out next round.

Arnold`s damage control this week was evident.

Arnold`s damage control this week was evident.

His latest line ending his article on the ratings is still swinging the hand of doom and gloom. I think they guy needs some anti-depresants.
