the cool thing is that basically not one fighter will be a 'walk in the park' for all others, this competitiveness makes the whole thing very interesting, but also shows how many great fighters at MW/LHW there are currently in Pride FC.

Even some ef those who dropped out in the Elimination had excellent chances to be a potential runnerup

He fought a great fight, choked out his opponent, and looked good on the feet.

These are just people voting on who they think are going to win.
Shogun is simply the most popular of the bunch right now, but everyone is where they are supposed to be because it is subjective voting by the fans; ie Shogun is the favorite simply because the fans says he is.

However, maybe on paper the voting should be something closer to what you say. Which is what betting odds are for, not fan polls.
