Cool event where I went to, with some big names like Pajonsuk. Sato was scheduled at first, but that fight got replaced with a Japanese heavyweight who had to fight Melvin Manhoef.

Pajonsuk is an animal. But I think he did it very relaxing yesterday. Vielvoye however dit quite well and knew how to motivate Pajonsuk for the last three rounds. Not really a war but the crowd went nuts. Pajonsuk is very popular here.

In june he will be fighting Fikri Tijarti, he won yesterday from Big Ben, for the WPKL world title. This is the fifth time in a row Tijarti has won the title. He wasn't really that good however. The fight was WITH elbows and Tijarti maybe one of Europes specialist, the Thai was clearly better. Anyway Fikri managed to cut Big Ben so he did win in the third round. That was a bit ironic because the Thai was so much better with his elbows. He would have won pretty easily on points I think.

The fight against Pajonsuk is on elbows too, but Fikri must have a damn good day if he wants that fight. Pajonsuk has more class than Big Ben imo, so I'm very curious how that will go. But some good fights.

Either way, I predict Pajunsuk will get a lot of throws in.

Here some footage: http://www.nieuws.nl/bericht/1/36420%5C somewhere below there is a little movie.

By the way, question for oyo maybe; Tyrone Spong told the audience that has signed with Pride. But I can't imagine he would sign for MMA. Am I just retarded and late or is there something going on with Pride going up the market for some standup fighting?

Strange i don't see Tyrone spong fighting MMA in Pride so it must be thaiboxing, Pride is going to start some new things i think!!!

yes it was broadcasted on Clear TV indeed.

On other forums I see the rumor of Pride going to organise standup fights as well. Spong would be one of their first eyecatchers. That can be tough competition for K-1... (Spong at this weight could JUST make it for K-1 max, but not for long. He's 72,5 KG but will go up in weight. He's staying at this weight now because he wants to fight Drago.) So that could mean that Pride wants to give an impulse to a higher weight-division.

Pajunsuk is the king. His kicking style reminds me of Samkor. His throwing style.... well that's some cartoon I've watched called Grappler Baki

It could be great if Pride starts to organize stand up events. If they keep same class as in MMA events, I'd say there will be huge rivalry between K-1 Max, SL and Pride.
I hope this ain't just a another rumor.

The pride organisation was in Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago and they had a peak in vos gym. The first what happened after that was Yvel fighting Minowa but I don't think that that was the main reason they were in the Netherlands.

Other rumours suggest that pride wants to organise some sort of European bushido events. Including the stand up only rumours it could be that they combine both mma and mt like fights in a European event (the combination of MMA and MT is very usuall around here)

But what they could organise in Europe could also happen in Japan. I mean there are enough highly talented fighters around here to form a contingent in both SL K-1(max) and Pride...
