Another great night of fights.
Here are the results of all the pro bouts:
Sid Asiata vs Sio Vitale
Sio came out strong and agressive but just seconds into the bout he was kicked in his left knee by a strong kick from Sid and collapsed. He struggled to get up and the fight was stopped.
Winner: Sid round 1 TKO
Jan Antolik vs Jason Vemoa
Jan came out looking very impressive against Jason. He threw everything he had in his arsenal with relative easy and sucess and was using his large reach advantage to succes. However the experienced Jason was coping and using low kicks well to try and keep Jan away. In the second round a nast cut opened behind Jason's left ear and the doctor had to stop the bout.
Winner: Jan round 2 TKO
Jordan Tai vs Jean-Charles Starbowsky
Both fighters came out cautiously. Jordan threw the first kick which Jean-Charles caught and countered with a brilliant right straight to put Jordan down. Jordan got to his feet and his nose looked bloodied. Jordan now looked angry and stormed into Jean-Charle's guard to land a brilliant hand combination which put Jean-Charles down. John-Charles managed to get up but was quickly put down again by a flurry of punches. Starbowsky showed lots of heart as he got up again but was quickly finished with another strong pair of punches which knocked him out.
Winner: Jordan Tai round 1 TKO
Shane Chapman vs Nangtakang
Nangtakang came out to a large applause from the Thai fans in the audience. As did the local favourite Choppa. They both started the first round by being cautious and circling eachother with jabs and low kicks. Choppa tried to use his height advatage by throwing some knees but Nangtakang was good at clinching up and they didnt hurt him. Round 2 was similar to round 1. Choppa came out strong using low kicks and countering Nangtakang's high kicks brilliantly. In round 3 Choppa began to use his knees more with some effect as he would clinch Nangtakang and knee him on the sides. However the former Lumpinee number one was far from finished as he took the brunt of the knees and countered well with low kicks and the ocassional elbow which 1 or 2 of them managed to hit Choppa (no blood). Round 4 was the crucial round as Nangtakang began to look hurt and slowed his pace down. Choppa was now kneeing as much as before and the knees seemed to take their toll on Nangtakang. In the final round Nangtakang was looking slightly fatigued, and less enthusastic to get close and mix it up with Choppa. Nangtakang seemed to say something to Choppa to the extent of "Im finished, take it easy". Choppa having respect for Nangtakang slowed the pace down despite the audience shouting at Choppa to have a KO.
Winner: Shane Chapman round 5 decision.
I will post pictures when they become available on the net.
