Looks like I won't be buying this anytime soon.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to come up with money that I can spend on something other than food and gas (which is up to $2.00 a gallon here these days!)

Maybe people won`t drive their fucking SUV`s wherevever they go in the future with the prices rising:)

Hey, I love SUV`s and was planning to buy another in the near future. Nothing better than throwing your weight around on the road :-)

Another car came up I couldn`t say no to though, so the SUV will have to wait....and I`ll use the time to save for a Humma hopefully. The ultimate in obnoxious!

Hummer's kick so much ass. I'm pretty sure that their is only one in my city, and everyone knows it when you mention it. so awesome.

hummys are pretty bastards, but completely un-functional if you live in old european city, plus their off-road capabilities are pretty much limited compared with mercedes g-klasse ot toyota landcruiser

Are there any hydrogen-fueled cars in Japan?

( o Y o )
2nd April 2005, 03:22 PM
In EXPO they have hydrogen buses running, but that is the first step.

I think BMW is one of few with a hydrogen powered car. GM are doing lots of research, but I got no idea when it's available to general public. Electric-hybrids are the most common right now. Lexus RX400h coming soon. *drools* It's an SUV that consumes 8.1l/100km and I 0-100km/h under 8 seconds. Toyota Highlander is a similar thing based on the same tech. Toyota Prius is where all that tech comes from. I'd expect to see an increase in these kinda cars and a push on hydrogen with the oil going towards $100USD/barrell. V8:s won't be that sought after when prices start going that way.

The same price here in Portugal too.

** Following is probably the same in the other European countries, looking at some of the prices ***

In Sweden 70-75% of the price of gas is straight taxes. Energytaxes, emmission-taxes, and then VAT on the sum of the gas-price and the taxes .........
