The fellow Swede David Bielkheden has had a blog up in his preparations for the UFC 89 fight against Jess Liaudin. It's his 155 lbs debut in the UFC. and he posted some pictures of his shape before starting the final weight cut.

He's currently at 77 kg (~170 lbs) with 4% bodyfat, but has been down more in weight recently, so there's some water retention there that he expects to get rid of. He sounds confident and is feeling good and strong at this weight.

His blog is in Swedish and available at:

Hopefully David is stronger at 155, I felt like he was tossed around a bit in the octagon before...

I really hope the drop down in weight will give Bielkheden a new lease of life. Looking at the photos it's crazy to think he was fighting at 83kg a couple of years ago.

Seriously, 4% is sick. I remember thinking Aronas 8% at Pride MWGP was crazy.

Looks like he shed that waterweight and went from his 4% bodyfat at 170 lbs to weigh in at 156 lbs:

Amazing, i went scared when i read the blogg that i wouldn´t make it. It´s not a top quality card when the most exiting thing for me on it is two lousy swedes. I really hope they can do an impact, it would meen alot to swedish MMA i think.

Good news. I'm fascinated to see how, or if, the cut effects him tomorrow.

I must say I'm stupidly excited about the undercard...

Gono vs Hardy and Bielkheden vs Liaudin are the two best fights on the card for me, and then Stout vs Etim, Miller vs Baron, and Eklund vs Samy Schiavo are all great fights too.
