Eddie is going to pound Diaz into dust. Nick is one of the most overhyped fighters I've ever seen. Ever since his win against Gomi he has looked progressively worse in his fights. The weed smoking he openly admits to doing is NOT helping his career.

I like Diaz but he has gone ownhill alot in the last few years. Unfortunately. See Eddie taking it if he fights the same intensity he did against Kawa.

Alvarez should win, and I really hope he does.
The Diaz brothers are awesomely entertaining but I'm a big Alvarez fan.

Nor can you say his weed use IS hurting his career. Other than getting that NC against Gomi.

I think Eddie. He's quick and he's a big puncher, both things that Diaz is not.

I think this is gonna look like Noons v Diaz. Diaz will probably trade with him and pay for it.

I like how they stripped Noons because he wanted to fight Alvarez, who was apparently 'unavailable.' Yet they are able to book him for a fight a little more than a month later? Rofl.

No. They stripped Noons because he refused to fight Diaz, Alvarez and everyone else you care to mention, for the money he was being paid. Noons clearly has problems fulfilling contracts he signed. And he decided he didn't want to be on CBS - what a complete dumbass.

i second Noons being a dumbass. War Alvarez. i like Diaz but he sleeps while he fights. that wont be good vs Alvarez aggressive ways.

Eddie has all the wrestling in the world to stop Nicks shitty takedowns, while blasting his face as he tries... i just dont see how Nick wins beyond Eddie taking it to the ground himself.

Eddie will forgive me (can't change it anymore anyway)
WAR Eddie !! And then i hope he's gonna get a titleshot against Hansen, he deserve it. A Title Eliminator against Aoki would be great too.
I think Diaz can't match with Eddie's power. I don't know much about Diaz his submission skills, expect that he submitted Gomi, if he have some serious skills in that discipline, this seems like the only way he could win that fight imo.

Diaz is fucking slick on the ground man. he just isnt going to get it there. his takedowns suck, hes slow, he has no punching power either... Then you got Eddie who can dictate where the fight goes due to his wrestling ability... is very fast.... hits like a mack truck.... its gonna nullify anything Diaz has to bring to the table imo.

Yeah sounds senseful. But on the other hand Diaz is pretty huge for this weight, isn't he? So if Eddie don't walk over him, there could be the possibility that Diaz simply is able to "tear him to the ground", without many wrestling skills or a tricky move, within the 15 or 25 minutes or how long the fight maximal could go. Could happen, for sure.
Can you recommend me a fight, which is a good example for Diaz submission and general ground skills?
Diaz definatly seems to don't have any power in his fists, that's even a no-brainer for me after seeing his last fight in DREAM but on the other hand, he seems to be technically OK (at least).

yeah he is bigger. Eddie cut down from 170 as well, though.

On paper I think Eddie should take it, but everytime Nick faces these powerful strikers with good takedown defense (Lawler, Gomi) he ends up surprising the hell outta me. Either way I'm looking forward to this fight.

Even if Diaz can get fight to the ground once or twice, submitting Eddie is not going to be easy.

I'm no fan of Noons, but he never refused to fight Alvarez. He asked to fight Alvarez when EXC wanted him to fight Diaz. EXC said Alvarez couldn't fight because he was on his honeymoon and stripped Noons afterwards. It's hilarious because now Alvarez is fighting no more than a month after the time they wanted KJ to fight.

Oh, typo.. of course i meant in his fists.
Just watched Diaz vs. Neer, his takedown skills really doesn't seem very high. I doubt he can take Eddie down.
