He will fight Masanori Tonooka. He was also offered to fight an unnamed Korean heavyweight but chose to fight Tonooka instead. Considering DREAM needs a huge boost in ratings to keep its TV deal, it's little bit of a disappointment if you ask me. Let's hope the Minowa-Funaki fight will help keep the promotion alive.

Just read that the unnamed Korean fighter who was offered was a Judoka.
I wonder who the third guy was too. Tamura, maybe?

They said on the press conference that Akiyama was supposed to fight Tamura but Tamura is still injured. If one of the choices was Tamura Akiyama would take it, Tamura said some bad stuff about Akiyama before.
I don't mind this fight, with so little time left before the fight it's good that it isn't an a-level fighter. They might hold an event in Korea in November also so they might be saving him for that and NYE.
