Ortiz: Let me explain this to you because it really pisses me off that Ibarra has done what he has done, he is a thief. I have been running training camps for seven years up in Big Bear California and the most that my camp has cost a fighter to attend is $35,000. Ibarra was charging Jackson $65,000 to go to Big Bear. I don't understand that!! He was being very disrespectful and taking advantage of Rampage. Including travel, training partners, food and lodging, the most ever was $35,000, maybe if you flew in more trainers...$40K. Where did that extra money go that Ibarra was charging? Rampage is really pissed and he feels betrayed that he was taken advantage of and I couldn't agree more with him. I don't care if Juanito reads this or hears about it anywhere, he already knows that he is blackballed. I don't care who you are; fighters work very hard for the money they earn and I feel slighted for even knowing Juanito.

I've seen a lot of stuff about Jackson being betrayed by someone very close to him.
Ibarra certainly sounded like he fitted the bill for that.
And if what Ortiz says can be taken seriously (a VERY big 'if') then it seems as if 'devout Christian' Ibarra really doesn't take those pesky commandments too seriously at all....

Yeah I don't know if Tito's claims are true or not but given all the rumors that the split revolved around money something like this would seem to make sense. I guess we'll never know until Quinton, Juanito, or both decide to ever speak on it.

Anyone who entrusts so much to one person (or one group of people, for that matter), who can "guide" them in whatever way, kind of deserves to be financially exploited to some extent. That's the general rule in the history of human kind, especially in the "free-market" world. Your weakness is your loss, and someone else's gain, remember? It's not like Juanito took advantage of a social hierarchy to shaft him or anything like that (which is much more evil than this kind of mano-a-mano power structure), especially given that Rampage was actually in many respects higher up in said social hierarchy. I'm not sure if I can sympathize with Rampage even if the story is true.

I agree with you miscmisc. I donīt have much, if any, sympathy left for Rampage. And to me, 25k more than usual does not upset me the least. And if itīs not a fraud then Rampage should just stfu, itīs his responsibility to know how much he pays his trainers, physicians, psychologist (probably 0k), dietists or whatever. And if this if the first Ibarra charged more than he usually does, 25k seems even more ridicoulus to whine about.
He only has himself to blaim.

For the record Quinton hasn't said anything about the split besides the fact that he's at a new training camp (Wolfslair) and is enjoying it. Tito's the one who speaking on the issue.

Yeah, you are right. I just assumed Tito was right, which is of course a bit of a gamble.

<deserves to be financially exploited to some extent>
miscmisc, this is a ridiculous statement. putting your trust in someone does not pressupose you should be exploited. i undertand what you mean - to an extent that quinton should have had a better grasp of where and on what his money was being spent on, but the guy's a fighter, not an accountant. he probably hoped to god that ibarra was't going to be a gold digger and, perphaps in bad judgement, put faith in him when he shouldn'thave, but to say he deserved to get ripped is unfair.
do you know anythingabout the relationship between the two? i don't. maybe ibarra built a strong relationship of trust and raporte with quintin? you're entitledto your opinionof course, i just would't assume rampage ~deerves~ to be financially exploited for trusting his trainer.
