I have no idea if anyone outside the UK can access this but here's some covarge of the womens -48KG tournament asnd the men's -60KG tournament.

Can somebody outside the UK let me know if this works? If so, I'll keep this thread updated with more links to the Judo and the Wrestling as and when the BBC make it available.

Cheers, I watched some of the Judo coverage at work from the BBC sport website, I was a bit disappointed to be honest. The women’s coverage was quite poor, but I did get to see a beautiful Tai Otoshi from Tani Ryoko to take a bronze. Maybe this'll be a more comprehensive highlight.

Are BBC definitely covering the Wrestling too? That'd be great if they do, I'm hoping Hamid Sourian'll tear it up in the 55kg Greco-Roman.

I wonder if it is humanly possible for a single person to win gold in the Boxing, Wrestling, Judo and Taekwondo...

^ That site doesn't like my mac.

Well seems the Russians have made a good start towards dominating the wrestling again.

One thing that is good about living in Japan is that the Japanese are so good at judo for some reason that the TV stations have no choice but covering it.

But inevitably, it focuses heavily on the Japanese athletes, which kind of sucks. I'm a bit of a fan of dirty, shameless European judo, lol.

It's been a good competition so far, except for the incompetent noob refs (as if it was something news, I know). Some breathtaking ippon wins, and negative fight style has been punished fairly in general, which kind of filtered out those boring-ass mock-judoka who are better suited for wrestling, though there are still a few poisonous medalists unfortunately.

As for wrestling, I still can't accept that stupid Greco-Roman rule. When the ref takes a ball out of the bag, the camera focuses on the coaches, and their faces tell eloquently that that's THE most decisive moment of the entire fight. Pure lottery that the wrestlers can have absolutely no control over or influence on, and now that it's the ball out of a bag thing instead of a flip of a coin (so that it's easier for the spectators to learn what's going on), there is even an extra room for conspiracy theories to grow. That's just some wild BS, and it has officially departed this level called a "sport".

Yeah, it's a lottery, the one who gets his color drawn first has a huge advantage. Good job by the Swede who put his bronze medal on the middle of the mat and left today. Train for four years and get everything taken away by a shit ref decision.

That decision was just bullshit, bullshit! I couldn't not see what he did to get a warning, no one could! And they decided to give the win to the italien after the period was done, like ten seconds after the "situation" happened, but what happened? nothing, fucking bullshit. Ara deserved to get the third period, and he looked much fresher then the italian. May the best man win, but I certainly felt that wasn't the case here..fuck it.

And for my friend Jalmar, well 4th place in his first but not last olympic games!
