For the AFL.

Lashley should do well in MMA. He's nowhere near as good a wrestler as Lesnar, and nothing like as big a mainstream name either, but he'll be pretty interesting.

Honestly, Lashley is an idiot for leaving WWE. He had a contract that would have ultimately made him a very rich man.

It's not everything in money.

People like Chuck Liddell make more money for a single fight than the vast majority of WWE performers make in an entire year. And while I'm sure my saying this won't be much appreciated, life as an MMA star is likely FAR easier than that of a WWE headliner these days.

I'm not saying for one second that Lashley is the next Liddell but having watched him for a few years, and heard so much about his legitimate wrestling background, and stories from people he trained with in his pre-WWE days I'm fairly sure he's a much better fit for MMA than pro wrestling.

He just doesn't have the personality for WWE stardom but he's a genuine athlete with real MMA potential.

Also, his reasons for leaving are slightly murky, but lets just say he'll likely face far less institutional racism in MMA than he did in WWE.

Like slash said, money isn't everything.

Have you checked out that Ring of Hell book yet?

Good for Lashley.

You make a valid point, I know he was a victim of racism during his time in WWE. You're right when you say Liddell makes more than the average WWE wrestler, but when compared to the guys at the top, like Lashley, the salaries are comparable. Also, it should be mentioned that top-draw wrestlers usually make more than the top MMA stars due to the cut in merchandise they get, best example would be a guy like John Cena or Stone Cold. I don't know if MMA is best for Lashley, though he's a legit wrestler, he may be starting too late.

I'm still waiting on the Ric Flair announcement. The most lethal submission stylist to ever step into the "squared circle." His recent "pro" retirement opens the door to seeing Kimbo get figure four-ed!!! Let's turn those UFC boos into woos!
