Mike Bisping was recently left without an opponent for UFC 85 as the proposed match up with Chris Leben fell apart following the tough brawler's unfortunate arrest. However, in a scramble to find a suitable opponent for 7 June, the UFC match makers were able to find an extremely tough and experienced replacement, Jason Day.
Taking time out to speak to Ironlife.com about the up-coming fight, Mike Bisping spoke confidently of his chances going up against the Canadian submissions specialist.
What do you know about your opponent, Jason Day?
He’s got a pretty good record, he’s 17-4, so he’s quite experienced. He looks aggressive, he looks like he’s always in very good shape for his fights, always very fit. Pretty decent striking, supposed to have a good ground game, won a lot of fights by submission, coming off a couple of good wins against Alan Belcher and David Loiseau, that’s about it really, that’s what I know.
