The first reserve fight in over as they start the event. I believe the winner was Yong Seok Ko via JD.

Tomi leads in with a jab and Min rather unorthodox spinning around with kicks and the odd overhand. He lands a light lowblow that does no damag and they tap gloves.

Tomi lands a right kick to the body and Min is down....he gets a count to seven, gets up and after the restart Tomi pressures him to the ropes, lands a knee and Min is down and the fight ends.

Jun looks to pressure Kao and is leadning with the swings to get inside....he is much fatter than last year though....MUC (Jun,...not Kao)

Kao goes for a similar kick as he KO`d Mo with and eats a big punch clean...they scuffle a bit and Kao replies with his own punch that lands clean on Jun`s jaw.

They tap gloves and Jun comes in with a lowkick....he starts the wild swings hitting lots of air and Kauo manages to place a decent counter punch.

Kao seems to be slipping quite a lot and his corner said he is a a bit stiff and not relaxed enough.
He does just power in a nice mid kick kick though, and again Jun runs in pressuring with punches.

They need to wait whle the ref pulls up Jun`s pants for him. lol

They exchange some decent shots in the middle and Koa powers in a nice low on the way out.

Kao isn`t using the ring as much as usuall and is standing more toe to toe.

final 10 seconds he lands a big highkick and Jun is a touch stunned...the bell rings before he can capitalise though

Hori trying to use his jab to pressure and they quickly mix it up....Hori lands a highkick but it is shallow, lands some jabs and a nice knee. Lee as usually blokes it woth his face. Hori lands a left and Lee looks a little hurt...they clinch and Hori lands another soft soft highkick but now Lee comes with some decent shots of his own and some good low kicks.

Hori lands three or sets of big 1, 2`s CLEAn and Lee just keeps on coming for more....

Lee starts it with a solid low kick abd the crowd is chanting his name.

Hori pushes out of a clinch and lands a huge left straight....Lee comes back wit a lowblow and there is a time stop.

Restart.....

Lee bleeding from nose now and Hori lands two huge lefts pushing Lee back but he just keeps coming forward.

Hori lands two shots, a highlick, a knee to the jaw and one more punch and Lee keeeeeps on coming at him.

Final 30 seconds and Hori really pressuring him and Lee doing a bit of the fish dance...

Kakuda looking to use the whole ring it looks like...he throws a jab from miles away and Ake gets him on the ropes.....uses a knee and some weak looking jabs before Kakuda does the runner....

Kakuda powers in a decent low kick and throws some big swining hooks, while Ake keeps him in the corner pounding...

Kakuda goes down from what looked like a real punch to the temple....7 seconds and back up

They restart and kakuda obviously having trouble with the size....Ake pushes him into the corner to offload and kakuda answers with several decent shots as the bell rings

Carter came out southpaw but changed back pretty early....

Carter with a lowkick...Aerts with one and carter rushes with several punchs which Aerts avoids well......

Carter with another good low kick of his own and Aerts answers with a mid kick. Next exchange Carter powers in a nice shot but it doesn`t seem to land well.

Carters low kicks also seem to be doing damage and Aerts has slowed his pace. carter with another low and he is moving back a lot this round. Carter seems to limp back t the corner slightly on the bell with his kicking leg...

Carter lands anoher lowkick... Aerts goes for a body but Carter blocks it....they exchange lows..and again.......Aerts with a one, two that misses completelyy and a knee to the body on the ropes.

The clinch was really only in the final round....the rest was a lowkick exchange with a few punch exchanges.

Basically I think it showed Aerts still has a lot of fight left in him, and it shows Carter can hang at GP level.

Choi teeps an tries to punch but Kao is already out of range....Kao lands a middle kick....and another and smiles. Kao with a teepchoi barely landed, or even threw a thing as he Kao wasn`t in distance long enough.

I thought Kaoklai edged it, but the fight was a bit awkward to say the least (the entire tournament was). I think you unintentionally made the fight more exciting than it was. But my friends who aren't as knowledged in this field are aesthetic. K-1 has the power to let whoever they want win, the Korean was a bigger and longtime investment. It makes sense in a twisted way.

BTW I'm glad Kaoklai is already qualified so this result won't leave that bad of a taste in his mouth but I still feel sorry for him. I hope there'll be a superfight soon with Choi against an elite, just to teach Choi some manners. It's a shame Kaoklai isn't 50 pounds heavier... Imagine a Thai fighter with his skills weighing in at about 220 pounds :D It would be insane...

You are right in the fact it was awkward to say the least...thats why I said about the cleaner shots landing as the pats on the top of the head Choi was doing have never scored before. lol

As for it sounding more exciting than it was thats entirely possible. I guess typing out only the action doesn`t give any idea of the large lulls in between. I think even my Bernard vs Filho fight pbp sounded decent! lol
